Sleeps 6 - Three double bedrooms, with master en suite. A Grade II listed barn, with vaulted ceilings and views across the beautiful Devon countryside. The spacious kitchen is well equipped and large sitting room has a wood burning stove. Located close to the Tarka trail and within easy reach of Bideford, Bude, Hartland Point and the striking village of Clovelly. Other tourist attractions include the RHS Rosemoor Gardens, Dartington Crystal factory, Tamar Lakes and Dartmoor.

About the Owner

Steve and I moved into the main house in August 2015 and are enjoying learning about all the area has to offer. I have two grown up girls and Steve has three grown up boys, almost the Brady bunch! (A funny for those old enough to remember!). We were both brought up in North Kent and decided to move to Devon. Here we are, our dream come true, in this beautiful area.

Absolutely beautiful property, very comfortable, quiet and in a great location.

My 2 children and I had a brilliant week here. Everything in the barn is of a high standard and contains all you need. Highly recommended for a base for any type of holiday. The owners are next door for any issues and were welcoming and unobtrusive. A placevi will definitely return to.

Lovely property in lovely location

Had a great time at the property. Lovely, welcoming owners, immaculate accommodation and scrupulously clean.

Visited Appledore, Shebbear, Westward Ho! (Check out Pier House Bistro and Westward Bound gift shop), Barnstaple (Warrens pasties to die for), Instow, Bude (nice lunch in Life's a Beach) and Bideford. Lovely bike ride along the Tarka trail, collecting bikes and tandem from Bideford and riding to Fremington Quay (great cafe with home cooked meals and cake).

Even if the weather isn't summery....it wasn't all sunshine for our week in September, you can still have a wonderful time in North Devon as plenty to do and see. Big Sheep great for kids, young and older, Dartington Crystal has a shop and glass painting area, trampolining centre in Barnstaple, locally made Hockings ice cream everywhere, fish and chips on the beach. What's not to like?

Definitely be back. Thank you. Had a fab holiday.

Lovely barn in rural location

We have recently enjoyed a weeks stay, the property was as described, was a good size and was very clean and tidy. A cot with bedding, a highchair and stair gates were provided which greatly helped with our two small children. I would recommend the barn to family and friends and hope to return one day.

The barn is just immaculate and has lots of personal touches that really make a stay. My girls loved the books that were there. We had the whole paddock as well so there was so much room for them to run around. Hours of fun were had out there. The owners are so welcoming and friendly but not constantly hovering around. Will definitely be coming back. Lots of attractions are not too far away but dont rely on your sat nav too much as it finds all the smallest roads. Follow instructions from Debbie instead. Incredible views can be seen from the barn especially the sunset. A great holiday.

Beautiful barn conversion, a home away from home

What a lovely property! The owners Debbie and Steve, were so welcoming and have made the barn a home away from home. Beautifully decorated and furnished and brilliantly equipped. We couldn't have asked for more. The children loved the private paddock to play in with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Perfectly situated for visiting the north Devon countryside and coast. Highly recommended.

Booking Notes:
When you book the holiday property you should pay the £200 non-refundable initial deposit and 50% of the rental rate amount then due, by card payment or bank transfer. We accept pounds sterling only. Once the completed Booking Contract and the Initial Deposit have been received and accepted by us, we will issue you with our written confirmation. The contract between us will only be formed when we send you our written confirmation and is subject to these terms and conditions. The initial deposit converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival.
You are required to make your payment for the outstanding balance of the Rental at least eight weeks prior to the Arrival Date as set out in our written confirmation. However, if you make your booking less than eight weeks before the Arrival Date, you must make a payment for the booking in full by card payment or bank transfer, at the time of booking.
If you fail to make a payment due to us in full and on time we may treat your booking as cancelled by you.

We will hold the Security Deposit to be applied against the reasonable damage of/replacement of the property, furnishings, fixtures and fittings. We will return the Security Deposit to you within 14 days of the return of the keys to us, less any deductions in accordance with the conditions listed above.
