Overview

Situated amongst exotic green spaces & pools, 5 min. from the Mediterranean Sea, this classic Spanish-style villa has a solarium, balcony and 2 terraces. Walk to bars & restaurants, a grocery store, and a golf course! 5 min. by bus to the beach!!!

Climate

Here, you will experience a pleasant Mediterranean climate and weather conditions most of the year, making it the perfect place for a holiday. This property has a privileged location and a superb mild climate with an average yearly temperature of 18-20 °C and benefits from almost 325 sunny days every year.

Golf Courses

Spain is a top destination for golf lovers and has a particularly suitable climate from September through to May or June. There are gentle winds and good visibility during this time. The areas in and around Villamartin have several excellent golf courses to suit various tastes. There are 4 superb golf courses in the immediate area, alone, which has a beautiful climate, both in summer and winter, with an average winter temperature of 16 or 17°C.

Each golf course has its own distinct character, and all are within 2 km of each other. National and international competitions are held at Club de Golf Villamartin, Club de Golf Las Ramblas de Orihuela and Real Club de Golf Campoamor. Set amongst nature and with a beach club on the seafront at La Glea beach in Campoamor, Las Colinas is the newest golf course in the area.

The Property

Enjoy breakfast on the balcony or in the dining room, overlooking the green space. BBQ on the private solarium, or meet neighbours on the back garden terrace. Take a stroll through the lush gardens, and see the beauty of local plants and wildlife. The main community pool (with waterfall) is open from May through to October, but the deck of this pool and the entire smaller pool are open year-round.

Relax comfortably, watching T.V. with both Spanish and British satellite reception. Enjoy the convenience of free WiFi. All linens, a coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster, hair dryer, washing machine, iron, microwave, bath and beach towels are provided free of charge.

House Rules

A 55 euro cleaning fee is due upon arrival. The 150 euro damage deposit, included in the Ownersdirect fee, will be returned to you 7 days after departure, once the property is deemed to be in good order.

A gas BBQ is available, upon request, for use on the solarium. If you choose to use it, please leave it clean for the next guests.

A red binder, in the wooden hutch behind the front door, outlines tips for making your stay even more pleasant. For your benefit, please take time to read it. Be respectful. No pets. No smoking.

Surrounding Area

This villa is set within the beautiful community of Verdemar III. La Fuente, featuring numerous bars and restaurants and nightly live entertainment, is a 10 min. walk away. The Stone Grill and Isabela's are highly recommended. The new Mercadona grocery store is only 5 min. away. In approx. 40 min., you can walk to the many bars and restaurants of Villamartin Plaza or the largest shopping mall in the province of Alicante, the newly built Zenia Boulevard.

By car, the golden sandy beaches of Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, and Campoamor are 5 min. away! About 40 min. inland, you will find the city of Orihuela with its rich cultural heritage. Both Alicante, with Santa Barbara Castle, San Juan Beach and the famous seafront promenade, and Cartagena, with its Roman Theatre and museums, are about 45 min. away. Local outdoor markets in Cabo Roig, Playa Flamenca, and Guardamar are always fun to visit as well.

Getting Around

Airport and train station transfers to and from the property are available upon request.

There is ample free parking on the street in front of the property.

The Azul (blue) bus stops are located about a 10 min. walk away, in front of La Fuente by La Farmacia, and the Golf Galaxy Store across from Supermercado Europa. Pick-up times are approx. 20 min. past those posted on the lamp post. Stops along the bus route include, Villamartin Plaza, Zenia Boulevard, Playa Flamenca, and the La Glea side of Campoamor Beach!

Taxi services are also readily available.

Very comfortable accommodations with a great location. Groceries, variety of good dining,and shopping in general, all within walking distance. The beaches, a very short drive, taxi or bus ride away are wonderful and the Mediterranean Sea inviting. This villa is ideally located for day tripping to the beauty and vast history of coastal and southern Spain. We'll definitely return !!
