About The Owner

Karen & Mark both grew up in London and are currently living & working in Turkey Marks father was born & grew up in Padstow We have other family & friends living close to St.Issey North Cornwall and in a hamlet of Chapel Amble. The life style in Cornwall is very outdoor orientated and we want to you share this experience with beaches, trails, places of interest, and water sports nearby

Why The Owner chose North Cornwall

This property was built by ourselves in 2007 in a wonderful rural Village which has been featured on National TV hosted by Caroline Quentin. We take pride in the standard of accommodation provided and has been graded as 5 Star by the Tourist Board. It is the perfect location to explore North Cornwall all year round. it is a fantastic location for those who love the beach, walking, playing Golf, historical places of interest or just relaxing and visiting the many restaurants and local Inn's, there is something for everyone.

What makes this house unique

The home is designed to be comfortable all year round. The lounge has a cosy integral wood burner for those winter evenings. the nearest Inn is 100 yards and does excellent food and has a great atmosphere.

Very close is the Market town of Wadebridge and Padstow Harbour, which have restaurants, bars, coffee & tea shops along with grocery stores.

Fantastic just what we needed

We can't say how much we all enjoyed staying at Sunny corner there were 4 adults & 3 Children (& 3 very well behaved dogs) the house was perfect for us, room to spread out the pool table was a massive hit with the children the welcome scones jam and cream were lush. The Ring O Bells pub was lovely and we even walked to the Pickwick Inn which we loved so much we went there twice the Camel trail was nice and close which we used lots. We would recommend this house to anyone looking for a holiday near Padstow. And we're even thinking of booking again next year! And by the end of the week we almost got use to the morning wake up calls by the cows!

Fabulous xmas stay

We've just had a fantastic xmas break in this house. Thank you very much Pete and Mel. The house was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated for xmas. Our two boys aged 10 and 13 loved the downstairs area which we nicknamed the man cave and us 4 adults also played several games of pool! Plenty of space to spread out, it was all very comfortable, popped into the village pub for a drink and we visited several nearby coves. The welcome scones were delicious by the way! Would definitely recommend this property!!

Amazing property

This was our 5th stay at sunny corner, and as always the house was perfect!! always clean, with everything you need. Lovely welcome pack, and Mel and Pete always very helpful!!.. booked up for next year, would highly recommend.

Lovely Holiday but unhappy ending

We had a holiday holiday, but my granddaughter celebrated her 3rd Birthday at this house, we accidentley left her Bubble bath toy there when we left, we contacted the owner the same day to save it for her, but they were insensitive and said they had put it in the bin, how could they do such a thing with a new childs toy which cost £25.

Broken Promises

Prior to booking earlier in the year, i advised i needed internet, and wanted to know if the property had internet. I was told there was no internet, but guaranteed it would be installed by the time i went to stay here. A week until the holiday, i got an email saying it was not installed.

We left a toy in error, we emailed the same day when we got home. Then was advised they had binned it, and that i should take that as experience due to there error.

Lucky wasnt my wallet ,

Owner's Response: I am sorry that this guest feels they were given broken promises and sad that they have been unfair in their comments. We have received 5 star reviews on this website and are considered as super hosts on another. We do not advertise that we have the internet and have never guaranteed this. To say this is completely false information. The guest was informed over a month before their stay that they would not have the internet for their stay and it was explained that unfortunately BT have been unable to get us connected. The guest was told this before the final balance was due and could have cancelled if the internet was so important for their holiday. They continued with the final balance and sent a message after the holiday that they had had a lovely week ! I fully explained why we could not return a toy that they had left behind. I would normally return items left behind at my own expense but on this occasion it was not possible for a number of reasons, not just as the guest has stated that we "binned it" I'm sure other guests can make their own judgement of the review and my response. We are still battling with BT to get the internet fitted and will keep trying as we realise this is important to some of our guests. Unfortunately it's Cornwall though and there are many others in our situation.

Great house for a large group

Stayed here at Easter. Lovely large, well equipped,clean house in a nice village. There was 7 of us, 4 adults & 3 children, and it was great to have plenty of space to spread out and no fighting for the bathroom!! We really appreciated the welcome pack that was left! Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends.

Sunny Corner is located at the heart of the quaint North Cornwall village of St.Issey with a 50 metres walk to the local Inn. Closeby is a dairy farm for all your fresh dairy produce.

Situated 3 miles to the market town of Wadebridge and approximately 3 miles from Padstow fishing Harbour, this is the perfect luxury base to explore Cornwall. Fantastic Sandy beaches nearby.

Royal Cornwall show Ground is literally a 2 minute drive, which hosts year round events from music festivals to classic car shows.

There are many National Trust sites to visit including Prideaux Place and Lanhydrock.
