Situated on the north coast of Devon Ilfracombe is a pretty harbour resort which has an abundance of attractions for everyone to enjoy. It retains many of its influences from when the town was a Victorian retreat, and boasts grand villas and tidal bathing pools of the time.

Very much a popular destination for today's visitor with everything most could wish for when choosing a holiday beside the sea. The town as a great selection of bistros, cafes and restaurants and of course it is home to the Damien Hirst statue 'Verity' that stands tall at the entrance of the pretty harbour.

Popular with couples and families the Tunnel's Beaches now a busy wedding venue is also a wonderful day out for families with children. Accessed via hand cut tunnels through the cliff face, where tranquil turquoise waters and rock pools will keep children happy for hours.

There's also plenty to do for families, with the Ilfracombe Aquarium popular with children and adults alike, and wildlife cruises from the harbour offering kids the chance to experience the open waters for the first time.

On the doorstep there are a wonderful selection of great family and surfing beaches. Croyde, Woolacombe and Putsborough all less than half an hour from Ilfracombe and ideal for surfers and families.

Family days out at The Big Sheep and Combe Martin Wildlife Park, are within half hours drive, and the SW coastal path runs from the town traversing the magnificent coastline where views are spectacular.
