About The Owner

The Owner purchased this house in 2004

Why The Owner chose Spézet

We first visited Brittany in 2003 and were amazed at the wonderful scenery, fantastic people and ther slow pace of life. It was like returning to Britain in the 1950 s.

We saw the house in an estate agents window and fell in love with it.

What makes this house unique

Set in a small hamlet, yet a short walk from the colourful village of Spezet.

Our grandchildren love the large garden with swings and slide.

Within easy reach of many beaches, lakes and

An excellent family holiday home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Tir na nog twice in 2017, a week in June and we had such a great stay we returned for 10 days in August. We chose this property based on the layout, as we have 4 children, 2 of which are teenagers so finding the right bedroom combination is not always easy! We found the property very clean, tidy and spacious and has everything a large family needs, washing machine and tumble dryer were very useful! The house had a very homely feel and we settled in straight away. We were met at the property on both occasions by Cassie, the housekeeper who was very helpful and we felt like nothing was too much trouble. We travelled on a Sunday when supermarkets are closed so we had been left the basic essentials including a nice bottle of merlot - very nice touch!

The location was perfect for us, very quiet and peaceful, but close enough to shops and beaches - benodet beach very nice buy can get busy (great ice cream parlour) good for water sports etc, Crozon also very nice, we also visited the beach at Lesconil as it was mentioned by a previous family in the visitor book at the property, this was a lovely, quiet beach and even at the weekend with great weather was really quiet - we returned there twice during the holiday, it is worth the slightly longer drive.

The owners are a pleasure to deal with, very helpful from the start and flexible. Made the whole process of booking the holiday very easy, we are already planning our next visit. We cannot recommend highly enough.

Brilliant holiday!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a relaxing holiday! The house was very lovely, full of character, well presented, and large enough for our two families to enjoy a comfortable and fun week. The huge garden there is fab, our kids had a great time playing while we sat in the sunshine cooking barbecues and chilling out with a glass of vin rouge.

The beaches nearby are spectacular, especially Crozon and Camaret sur Mer. It was great weather yet the beach was so quiet.

We spent a day visiting the megalithic standing stones at Carnac, and visited the very beautiful town of Huelgoat, where we planned to rent a boat but ended up exploring the forests and magnificent stones where King Arthur is supposed to have stayed. Our eldest daughter Susie thinks it must be the Enchanted Forest from Enid Blyton's books!!

So much to see, and such a tranquil and beautiful area, we hope to come back again soon!

Owner's Response: So glad you and your family had such a good holiday at Tirnanog. It is such a beautiful area we wish we could spend much more time there. Such a slow pace of life, it's like the UK in the 1950s. We welcome you back at anytime.

Tirnanog was even better than the description. Exceedingly clean and comfortable. The lady who looks after the house was ever so helpful and provided us with lots of information about the area. We loved the beautiful beaches and picturesque towns and villages, Locranon was astonishing. Our young children played for hours on the swing and slide in the garden.

We would recommend Tirnanog to anyone without hesitation. We all want to come back!

A Beautiful House, An Excellent Holiday

  • 5 of 5

A thoroughly enjoyable holiday in a beautful home. Even better than on the website, the pictures did not do Tirnanog justice. Easy to book, great communication and co-operation.

The house was clean and in a lovely spot, a short walk from the village of Spezet, which had everything we needed, bakery, shop, friendly restaurants.

We would without doubt recommend this holiday to all our friends.

Brittany is beautiful, the local area especially. We visited several beaches, they were so quiet for the time of year. The children 8 and 12 really enjoyed the whole holiday-- Thank you so much!

Our fantastic holiday

  • 5 of 5

we arrived by car and found the property easily following your directions, What a lovely house, clean, tidy and very welcoming and your instructions on how everything worked made moving in a doddle. Whilst we used it as a base to explore the surrounding countryside it really felt like home on returning every evening. Sitting watching the bats fly over the garden from next door's eves made the evenings magical .

A really good holiday.

Great house, brilliant location. Spotlessy clean, provided everything we could have wanted.

The location is brilliant, ideal position to explore the beautiful places of interest such as Duarnez, Huelgoat and Camaret. Owners very cooperative and helpful.

Alice the lady who looks after the house was brilliant. The welcome pack on arrival, wine, food etc. was much appreciated.
