About Harriet Morris

Having always loved the outdoors and everything the beautiful Lake District has to offer, we fell in love and chose Cartmel for a number of reasons. It really is a picture postcard English village and this 'thimble full of diamonds' whilst still steeped in history has become a fantastic foodie destination and whilst a great destination in its own right is superbly placed for exploring all of a The Lakes. Then there are the race days on what has been described as the prettiest racetrack in the UK. When we first stumbled on Maggie Puddle, we instantly fell in love with it. Two cute, cosy cottages that have been sympathetically restored and we hope you agree offer a real 'home from home.' We live locally and are on hand for any questions you may have at any point during your stay.

The perfect stay!

  • 5 of 5

Maggie Puddle is the most beautiful cottage and is the perfect place to get away. It is spotlessly clean, really well equipped and full of quaint and quirky features - we loved it. The fizz, flowers and delicious homemade cakes that welcomed us were a lovely touch. Cartmel is a brilliant little village full of amazing places to eat and drink. Really cannot fault.
