New to Market - The Beach House, Beadnell, Northumberland - Fabulous Sea Views

Overview

Property

Updated: 02-Dec-2016
REFURBISHED to high standard10% couple discount*available on some off-peak weeks

'The Beach House' is in a superb location on the Northumberland coast overlooking the sea at Beadnell on Harbour Road - boasting the most amazing sea views. If you are coming to the Northumberland Coast this is where you want to be.

There is a shop 5 minutes walk away - and pub/restaurant 10 mins walk away.

The property has just finished a complete refurbishment programme (Jan 2016).

It has 3 bedrooms (sleeps 6 - 2 doubles and 1 twin ) and playroom. No pets I am afraid. There is a layout map on this site.

CHANGEOVERS: We let for full weeks during school holidays and peak season with Friday changeovers. We offer three night weekend and four night midweek short breaks off peak with change-overs on Mondays and Fridays.

On with the house...

The open plan living room and kitchen are on the 1st floor together with a double bedroom and bathroom. On the ground floor is a further two bedrooms (1 x double and 1 x twin ), a games room with tv and games console (or you can bring your own to plug in), a shower room with basin and wc and back door entrance into a utility room.

The kitchen has granite work surface and centre island. Woodburning stove in the open living room with fantastic views out to sea.

It is decorated to a high standard throughout with 2 bathrooms (one with bath and hand shower and the other with a double shower unit). New carpets and decoration. It will be very comfortable for your stay.

Sleeps max 6 No Smoking No pets

2 x double rooms

1 x twin room (2,000 pocket sprung beds)

1 x play room

1 x bathroom (bath with hand held shower, wc, sink - modern white bathroom)

1 x shower room with washbasin and wc

1 open plan living room/kitchen (granite work surfaces/woodburning stove)

Utility area with washing machine

Linen, towels, heating including in the rental. (logs for woodburner not provided)

There is a balcony off the kitchen - which is a real suntrap with outdoor dining table and seating.

There is a access to the patio garden behind with a masonry barbecue and bike racks to attach your bikes to.

The property is newly decorated and has the most amazing views over the north sea. One of the best locations in Beadnell for views.

We have signed up to BT Infinity Wi-fi for the property but if for any reason out of our control it is not working during your stay we do not offer a discount I am afraid. We can of course suggest alternative ways of getting onto the net.

Please call Lucinda on 0191 3720907 or 07879 228775 for further details and any other questions you have.

Note: We are a great location if you are attending a wedding at Newton Hall. Sorry no hen or stag or young group parties please.

Beadnell Bay hosts some great sights and views, including rare Arctic Terns during the summer months, water sport activities including surfing and kite boarding are also available (weather dependent). Bikes available for hire locally and will be delivered to your door. Places of interest such as Bamburgh Castle (5 miles), the Farne Islands (2 miles) and the historic market town of Alnwick (12 miles) are all easy accessible by car or bus.

About the Owner

My parents have had a family holiday house in Beadnell for over 40 years. We spent most of our summer holidays here every year, now I have two children aged 10 and 14 and we are doing the same. It is a beautiful part of the Northumberland Coast with safe sandy beaches. The kids love pier jumping at high tide. There are so many fantastic walks to great pubs in the area and more castles than you can ever visit. Oh this is the 'about you' section - never good at talking about myself... I am a events manager for a London company organising professional conferences for the planning world, which I love (working from home in Durham) and have worked for the same company for 20 years.

Beautiful house with lovely views of the sea

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed for a long weekend in Beadnell for our son's wedding. Beadnell is such an amazing place with long sandy beaches, rock pools, a harbour and a friendly village within 5 minutes walk from our accommodation.

The house was renovated to an impressive standard with style and flair. The lounge big picture window gave wonderful views of the sea which was captivating. The house was immaculate with everything we could need, The whole stay was totally enjoyable.

Perfect Home Overlooking The Sea

  • 5 of 5

Fantastically well presented, perfectly situated at the heart of the Northumberland Coast with sea views to die for out of huge living room and master bedroom windows. Lucinda and Guy who own the property, along with her parents that live next door couldn't be more welcoming and friendly. When we first arrived, The Beach House felt much larger than some of the photos on the website appeared. The kids play room was a great added feature and the house could easily boost a 4th bedroom, but to the owners credit they have chosen to rename this bedroom a play room.

The house was fully equipped with everything that was needed and was recently refurbished with clean crisp décor and modern fittings.

We have already recommended the Beach House to our friends that are looking to book next year and we also hope to book again in the future. Thanks again for a lovely holiday home.

Better Than The Photographs!

  • 5 of 5

We spent two marvellous weeks in Beadnell - a place we know well and where we used to take our children. This year our children came with their children and our youngest stayed with us at Lucinda's marvellous home. From the moment we entered the property we were sucked in by its clean lines and high end look. There was everything we needed and the bedrooms were sumptuous - lovely linen sheets and beds were very comfortable. The sea air can knock you out so a good bed just adds to the overall experience!

We met Lucinda who is very charming and helpful. She gave us some good advice on eating out and places to go visit. But the best was the view of the coast and sea from the picture window. Can one ever tire of such a view - doubtful!! All in all we had a great stay and would not hestate in recommending Lucinda and Guy's home by the coast. You will not be disappointed.

A great base

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous week at Beadnell and the Beach House was the perfect base for our family holiday.

The location of this newly refurbished property is ideal (between the village and the main beach) and - having stayed at other properties in the same area - we found that everything had been thought of, including the very useful information file which the friendly landlady sent to us in advance of our stay. The area has a huge amount of activities on offer come rain or shine and we would love to return next year.

Superb position - close to a beautiful beach - wonderful views from the front of the property.

  • 4 of 5

The property was clean and ready for our arrival, but we were surprised to realise that there was no "welcome pack" - in other S/C accommodation we have stayed in there has always been at the very least milk and tea bags, we had had a long journey so this would have been most acceptable. We wondered why there was just standard double beds as there was room for a 5ft. bed. Other items which would have made our stay easier were - 1. Bread Bin. 2. Sealed container for cake/biscuits. 3. Basin/bowl. 4. Salad spinner/collander. 5. Sauce pans. 6. Baking tray. 7. Larger milk jug -the one provided was small. 8. There was only seating in the lounge area for 5 people - this house is let as for 6 guests. We enjoyed our holiday and would recommend this property providing these points are dealt with. Owner's Response: I am glad you enjoyed your stay at the Beach House. We have invested greatly in renovating the property to a high standard and will take on board your added comments and purchase the kitchen items you have listed - you must have missed the pan draw - we cooked a full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings for 12 people last Christmas and there were definitely enough pans! We will talk to the shop at the end of the road about a welcome pack with local produce that could be purchased from them directly for your stay - we don't want to increase the rent if we can help it. Many thanks again and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Location

From the Owner

We have just become the owners or custodians as I like to think of it of 'The Beach House' this summer. You will love the views - they are just AMAZING looking directly out over the north sea - watching the tides come in and out. It is decorated and furnished to a high standard and the location is excellent. Our changeover team are great and provide lovely white bed linen and huge towels for your stay.

Activity and Interests

Car: recommended

There is so much to do on this beautiful coastline if you can bear to leave the superb views out to sea from the house. Beaches to walk, paddling to enjoy, local produce to relish, water sport, golf courses to exasperate, horse rides that explore the wildlife, bike rides with an ice-cream stop. Alnwick Gardens and Castle, Bamburgh Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle, the Farne Islands, Holy Island..... come and explore
