Two Bedroomed Penthouse Apartment

This two bedroomed apartment is on the top (2nd floor) with balconies overlooking the pool, gardens, sea and volcano. The lounge and larger bedroom open out onto the balcony which has space and furniture for six to dine 'al fresco' from the built-in BBQ. The roof terrace is gated and has lounges for 'private' sunbathing.

The apartment was refurbished in 2017 and is now double glazed to ensure a peaceful nights sleep. The large modern interior is equipped with all mod cons ensuring a 'home from home' feeling. The lounge has quality stereo system, CD, digital flat screen TV and DVD player. The modern kitchen is all electric and has hob, oven, microwave, toaster iron, washing machine, coffee maker, etc. There is no shortage of cooking utensils, tableware, etc.

Bedrooms have double and twin beds, interiors are spacious bright & airy with plenty of storage and before you arrive will be made up with fresh linen and towels

These exclusive penthouse are privately owned - there should be no confusion between these magnificent properties & some other sparse holiday properties offered by others. 'Fairways' is a quiet and secure complex built in Andalusian village style. There are sub tropical gardens and an immaculate heated swimming pool which has a professional full time life guard. The accommodation and resort are ideal for families and those seeking a quiet haven in which to relax. These apartments were completely refurbished in 2017. All day sun is ensured by a south-facing terraces / balconies for the one bedroom penthouse and a full sized rooftop sun decks for the two bed property. There are breathtaking views of the sea in one direction and Mount Teide volcano the other. Cool tiles cover the floor and all lounges are very spacious. Both have English TV, , DVD & Audio. The kitchens are modern fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, toaster, etc. There is no charge for utilities or lining.

Children's Club: There is free, professionally organised children's entertainment available most days and an outdoor child's play area with safety flooring, slides, climbing frame, swing, ping pong , table football and occasionally a bouncy castle. This is situated in a safe secure area within the Complex

Security: Fairways is a private complex and is gated. It is ultra safe and secure, but the penthouses have an electronic safe for peace of mind

Welcome Packs: If you are arriving 'out of hours' when the Supermarket is closed you will not starve as there will be a free goody pack waiting for you. Also there is a 24hour key collection service for 'out of hours' arrivals.

Spot On!

Very well equipped, light and airy two bed apartment facing the fishpond and gardens to the front and left view to the pool. It has a lovely sunny balcony and a roof terrace. Added bonus of a built in bbq, which we used 3 times during the week!

Fairways is a lovely, safe complex with pool, pool bar, onsite restaurants and plenty of sun beds around the pool. Supermarket is situated opposite the complex.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week here. Perfect for a chill out holiday.

Lovely Apartment

Fairways, Amarilla Golf, is just a short drive from the airport with everything you need close at hand to the apartment. Small well stocked supermarket, choice of bars/restaurants, cash machine. A short walk to the seafront, marina and coastal path. There was some aircraft noise.

The apartment is in a good position, and there was everything we needed. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Our stay was very good, as usual, as we have stayed at Fairways on a number of occasions.

The owner was very helpful and emails always answered straight away.

Very nice, well equipped apartment on good complex

We have just returned from a week staying in the penthouse apartment at Fairways.

We would agree with previous comments that the owner was very helpful and always responded to our messages quickly.

The apartment was easy to get to from the airport (although guests should be aware that the complex is right in the flight path so there is almost constant aircraft overhead - not really a problem for us, and the kids loved aeroplane spotting!).

The apartment was well equipped, with plenty of towels (of all sizes) and comfortable beds and sofas. There was a nice balcony and a good sized roof terrace, both with outdoor furniture supplied. The apartment was nice inside, and some rooms have been modernised since the photos shown on this website.

The Fairways complex itself was also very nice, and we all loved the pool area, which was very clean and safe, with all day round lifeguard presence. There are a number of bars and restaurants on site (we ate at Fusion a couple of times), with more a short walk away. There is also a supermarket across the road for essentials, but we found bigger, better stocked ones a short distance away (by car). On that subject, we would comment that if visitors want to be in easier reach of some of the bigger attractions on the island, car hire would be a good idea, as there are not bus stops immediately at Amarilla Golf. Some of the parks did do a bus collection from Fairways and we used this service to get to Jungle Park.

Susanne and Steve at Amarilla car hire were very helpful and friendly, and patiently helped us work out a good itinerary of places to visit with our children (5 and 2). We also rented a car from them for a couple of days, and this was arranged easily.

All in all, we had a really good stay at Fairways!

Excellent property within a beautiful complex.

This was our first stay at Fairways although we have been to the area before. We rented the two bed two bath penthouse apartment for a month.

Firstly, our relationship with the owner was first class. He has a very efficient booking process and always answered our emails very promptly. He also provided us with a detailed summary of the property, the surrounding area and restaurants. On our arrival we found the property to be very clean and tidy with towels neatly folded on each of the beds. The property is well furnished and has all the kitchens equipment you will need. On the small terrace is a table, 4 chairs and a bbq. We had a couple of meals cooked this way. Very good they were as well. On the larger roof terrace there are sunbeds. A lovely suntrap enjoyed by all. We had a weekly linen change and clean. The cleaner was first class. You could really see that she had done a good job.

Some other reviewers have commented on the beds.We found them absolutely fine. We sleep on the market leading memory foam mattress at home and found the double bed to be firm and almost as good. Be aware that, as commented by some others, there are a number of steps up to the property. It is a good leg workout if you are carrying 16 litres of water. If I had to make one slight adverse comment it would be that there is not a freezer in the property. For those who are wanting a longer rent like us it would have been useful to have one. We did find out later that we could have rented one from the car hire company on the complex.

That being said, if you want a comfortable, well equipped property in a lovely complex do not hesitate. This property will be our first port of call when we visit Tenerife next time.

After 15 years of visiting I guess we like it here

We have been renting this 2 bedroom apartment for so many years it now feels like home!!! Just back from our 2016 visit and have already booked for 2017.....The apartment is very well fitted out with everything you could wish for on your holiday. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, and full cooking facilities (but who wants to cook on holiday anyway!!) The lounge area is comfortable and I especially like that none of the sofas are sofa beds which means they are more comfortable to sit on.The master bedroom is very spacious indeed and is larger than the master on many of the other 2 bed properties within Fairways.

Fairways is a great facility for all ages. We have been going since the kids were small teenagers and although now in their twenties they still like to fly out and visit for a few days most years. It is very safe for younger children with a wonderful pool area.And the whole complex is gated which makes it very safe and secure.

All the apartments get a much greater degree of privacy than you would normally expect in holiday lets due to the beautiful construction design.

Around the immediate are there is a reasonable selection of bars and restaurants with a much greater choice 20 minutes walk to Golf del Sur. If you are a golfer then you really are spoilt in this location.

The Amarilla Estate is situated on the southern Costa del Silencio coast about a 10 minute taxi ride (€20) from the airport. It is perfectly situated midway between the airport and lively tourist areas of Los Cristianos and Playa las Americas. Fairways is a small private development self contained with a friendly village atmosphere. Built in Andulucian style it is situated in the middle of two lush championship golf courses. It is gated for security and exclusivity. Twenty miles to the north is the Mount Tiede volcano and a hundred yards to the south is the rugged Atlantic coast with dramatic walks. Here the beaches are shingle, but a short distance away in either direction, are safe sandy ones. On site there is a quality restaurant, several bars and car hire facilities. Adjacent there is a supermarket, a laundry, take away, and restaurants. Additionally there is 24 /7 British representative on hand to help with any emergencies,queries,excursions or money changing.

Other Activities: scuba
