These 2 luxury penthouse are privately owned - there should be no confusion between these magnificent properties & some other sparse holiday properties offered by others. 'Fairways',is a quiet and secure complex built in Andalusian village style. There are sub tropical gardens and an immaculate heated & lifeguard monitored swimming pool. The accommodation and resort are ideal for families and those seeking a quiet haven in which to relax. These apartments were completely refurbished in 2013. All day sun is ensured by a south-facing terraces / balconies for the one bedroom penthouse and a full sized rooftop sun decks for the two bed property. There are breathtaking views of the sea in one direction and Mount Teide volcano the other. Cool tiles cover the floor and all lounges are very spacious. Both have English TV,WI-FI, DVD & CD, radio. The kitchens are modern fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, toaster, etc.

There is no charge for utilities or lining.

Children's Club: There is free, professionally organised children's entertainment available most days and an outdoor child's play area with safety flooring, slides, climbing frame, swing, ping pong , table football and occasionally a bouncy castle. This is situated in a safe secure area within the Complex

Security: Fairways is a private complex and is gated. It is ultra safe and secure, but the penthouses have an electronic safe for peace of mind

Welcome Packs: If you are arriving 'out of hours' when the Supermarket is closed you will not starve as there will be a free goody pack waiting for you. t. Also there is a 24hour key collection service for 'out of hours' arrivals.

This two bedroomed apartment is on the top (2nd floor) with balconies overlooking the pool, gardens, sea and volcano. The lounge and larger bedroom open out onto the balcony which has space and furniture for six to dine 'al fresco' from the built-in BBQ. The roof terrace is gated and has lounges for 'private' sunbathing.

The apartment was refurbished in 2014 and is now double glazed to ensure a peaceful nights sleep. The large modern interior is equipped with all mod cons ensuring a 'home from home' feeling. The lounge has high quality stereo system, CD, digital flat screen TV and DVD player. The modern kitchen is all electric and has hob, oven, microwave, toaster iron, washing machine, coffee maker, etc. There is no shortage of cooking utensils, tableware, etc.

Bedrooms have double and twin beds, interiors are spacious bright & airy with plenty of storage and before you arrive will be made up with fresh linen and towels

Excellent .Clean.

Very comfortable and well equipped accommodation. Pool area excellent, kept very clean. Restaurants good, plenty of variety.

Only downside was meeting a female employee of Fairways who was really rude and we were not the only people to note this .We were told she was a PR for the complex.

Apartment 518

We stayed in Apartment 518 on Fairways this August and had an amazing holiday.

The apartment was very clean on arrival and we were impressed with the new kitchen!

We found the apartment had all that we needed with the terrace looking over the pool, BBQ in situ.

Fabulous views when you go up on the roof terrace.

We enjoyed the facilities on the complex, the children found the entertainment guy absolutely brilliant!! Table tennis and pool, what more could you ask for….

The lifeguard was always on duty which makes you feel at ease when the children are in and out of the pool all day.

All in all, we really enjoyed our holiday, the apartment was very comfortable and would thoroughly recommend going to Fairways for your holiday.

Fairways Club Penthouse excellent 2 week break

A clean, comfortable and well appointed apartment in a really nice, secure complex with really nice pool and poolside cafe/ restaurants. Friendly service and all the amenities you need close to hand to include car hire, supermarket and other bar restaurants. If you are looking for a chill out relaxing holiday, this apartment and complex ticks the right boxes.

Offered everything it said on the tin!!!!!

Thank you, we really enjoyed our recent stay in Fairways. The apartment was lovely and clean and in a super position on the complex. Being there with friends was a bonus for us as they knew where to eat and we had some lovely meals out ( Mary's and the fish restaurant in Los Abrigos to name just two). Visited parts of the island that we perhaps wouldn't have got to ourselves. I have to just mention that this apartment is extremely secure - after locking ourselves out on our last night we were rescued by the security guard and a maintenance man who fortunately had a ladder!!!! Thanks to both.

I have only given four stars and feel a little mean as this was down to the bed being not particularly comfy and the pillows in my mind do need renewing. Please could you consider 'normal' sized people and put in bath sized towels please!! On saying that we do plan to return in the future and would recommend to anyone!!! Thanks Roger for all your communication.

Owner's Response: Many thanks for taking the time to review Aileen . I agree the south facing position of the penthouse is probably the best possible at Fairways overlooking the gardens, pool and sea and thus is very quiet. So many apartments at Fairways face north so get get hardly any sun at all or overlook the road and so are noisy. Sorry about your views on the bed and pillows - past reviews have said how comfortable it was, but of course everyone is different. What I have now done is to put in several different types of pillows so guests can swap them around to get exactly the comfort they require. I have also put in some new extra large towels to suit all sizes ! Anyway I am glad you will be returning to the penthouse and hopefully you will then be able to give me that extra star !

Lovely stay.

Had a great 2 weeks stay in this fully equipped and spacious penthouse. Everything you require for a comfortable stay is provided it's like home from home but with much better weather. Great location in lovely surroundings really made for a most enjoyable holiday.

Many thanks to Roger for his help from start to finish making everything so simple and straightforward.

I would highly recommend this penthouse and the Fairways complex.

5 star apartment

This is the third time we have stayed in this splendid penthouse apartment and it will not be the last. Having visited the Amarilla Golf area for many years and the Fairways complex in particular we were extremely fortunate to happen upon this apartment and always enjoy our stay. The area around the complex has many excellent restaurants within walking distance. You are only 400 metres from the sea and the marina.

The Fairways resort is 5 star, very clean, wonderful gardens and 4 restaurants on site with the Fusion restaurant outstanding.

The apartment is large with two sun terraces with all the usual amenities you would get in a 5 star hotel.

We have already booked for 2016 and cannot wait to return

The Amarilla Estate is situated on the southern Costa del Silencio coast about a 10 minute taxi ride (£10) from the airport. It is perfectly situated midway between the airport and lively tourist areas of Los Cristianos and Playa las Americas. Fairways is a small private development self contained with a friendly village atmosphere. Built in Andulucian style it is situated in the middle of two lush championship golf courses. It is gated for security and exclusivity. Twenty miles to the north is the Mount Tiede volcano and a hundred yards to the south is the rugged Atlantic coast with dramatic walks. Here the beaches are shingle, but a short distance away in either direction, are safe sandy ones. On site there is a quality restaurant, several bars and car hire facilities. Adjacent there is a supermarket, a laundry, a take away, video hire and a sports bar. Additionally there is a 24-hour British representative on hand to help with any emergencies,queries,excursions or money changing.
