This stylish garden apartment is situated in the lovely Las Mimosas residential complex in Cabopino, Marbella. The beautifully maintained complex offers a large, 80 person communal swimming pool set in manicured gardens. Sunbeds are available, ideal for sunny days lazing around the pool under thatched umbrellas. The secure underground parking is easy to navigate with a wide, barrier-free parking bay. There is also Elevator Access to the ground floor, making it suitable for the elderly, pushchairs, or simply when carrying shopping or beach gear.

Las Mimosas is just a 10 minute walk from the marina and the beautiful sandy beaches and dunes located in this peaceful part of the Costa del Sol. The complex is opposite the Cabopino Golf Course and is close to many other activity options, entertainment, convenience store, sports bar and award winning restaurants.

The facilities in this bright and cheerful two bedroom, two bathroom, 130sqm apartment include a private covered terrace which has 4 steps leading down to the open garden area where you can take in the delightful views of the pool and communal garden and easily keep an eye on the children in the pool area at the same time. Be advised that small children should always be supervised on the terrace area as well as in the pool area.It also benefits from free high-speed fibre optic internet and WiFi, A/C throughout and is decorated and furbished to a very standard. There is cool marble tiling throughout the apartment.

The accommodation is comprised of a lounge/diner, furnished with two comfy leather sofas, an additional sofa bed to comfortably sleep an additional adult, and an elegant dining area. The lounge also offers a 50“ flat screen TV and a DVD player. From the lounge you have direct access to the inviting south-facing terrace, which is furnished with quality sofa and armchair to relax on and outdoor dining facilities to enjoy al-fresco dining.

The fully equipped separate kitchen has a convenient breakfast bar with two bar stools to enjoy the start of the day, and has a large fridge/freezer, plus an extra fridge and freezer for those who are able to enjoy an extended holiday.

The elegant master bedroom is beautifully colour co-ordinated with a large comfortable Grand King size bed (180x200cm), built in cupboards, and also offers direct access onto the terrace. This bedroom benefits from an en-suite bathroom with a walk in shower. The second bedroom has twin beds and spacious built-in wardrobes. The guest bathroom is fitted with a bath with shower attachment.

Cabopino is located only 14km from Fuengirola and 12km from Marbella and is very close to the towns of Calahonda and Elvira. Cabopino is one of the best kept secrets on the Coast with its beautiful port, lovely sandy beaches, sand dunes and pine forests, providing a protected sanctuary of green and open area. It boasts one of the finest examples of Moorish watchtowers on the coast - once a roman lighthouse - and is a place of much history dating back over 2000 years. Better equipped now for sun worshippers, the beaches here are lovely and are sheltered from the elements by two artificial reefs with parts of the beach being very shallow, ideal for young children. The beaches provide a mix of sun beds/umbrellas with popular beach bars and entertainment on the one side, with a long stretch of open, quiet, sandy beach on the other, where you can take long evening walks with nothing but dunes, the sound of the sea and the smell of pine trees to keep you company.

From the 18-hole golf course to its beautiful 169 berth marina and perfect sandy beach, Cabopino is the real gem of the Costa Del Sol. A laid back and tranquil area, it has great restaurants overlooking the yachts in the port, plus fun bars with food and music on the beach.

The Cabopino Camping bus stop is 300m from the apartment and is on the bus route (every half hour) between Fuengirola and Marbella, both excellent locations for shopping, eating out and providing easy access to numerous activities for all ages.

The nearby famous Cabopino campground is a hive of opportunities for adventurous kids and teens, providing day passes to numerous fun activities with plenty of opportunity to make friends. Together with the games rooms at the marina and the beach sports and water activities, this is the ideal holiday place for adults, teens and children alike.

Could do with some TLC

The position and décor of the apartment was lovely but there were a few issues.

The wall in the second bedroom was covered in mould. This was a wall adjacent to the bathroom so there was obviously a leak at some time. This is a health hazard.

Also there was no bedding on the beds in the second bedroom, no sheets or duvet covers, only duvets and there was no duvet cover in the main bedroom.

There was one teatowel to last a week, which had to be washed every other day, and half a toilet roll between 2 bathrooms.

I suspect the problems lay with the management company and not with the owner.

It was very clean, apart from the mould, and, if the problems were sorted, I would go back again.

Owner's Response: Dear Janis, I received your review, and I really must apologise for the experience you had. I am mortified that there is mould on the wall. We had a leak in the bathroom in January, which we repaired. and had instructed our management company to make sure that there was no further resulting water damage. Obviously they were not vigilant in monitoring the situation. While this explains the situation, it certainly doesn't excuse it, and I am really sorry that you had to have this experience. I have instructed our management company to fix it with all urgency! Re the bedding in the second bedroom: if the apartment is booked for 2 people, these beds don't get made up unless there is a specific request to do so. Normally there would then just be the bed covers on the bed, but no other linen as there is a per person linen charge. Re the bedding in the main bedroom: there most definitely should have been a duvet and cover on the bed, as well as just a top sheet for when it gets to hot to sleep under a duvet in summer. Did you let the management company know of this, and were they able to rectify it timeously? Re the tea towel: I agree, one tea towel is just not enough, and so I will ask them to make sure there are two in future! I am glad to hear that you would return if we address these issues, and so you can be assured that they are getting sorted out with all possible haste! By way of apology for your experience, I would like to offer you a refund of 100 Euro. Please let me know how you would like me to pay this, eg; paypal, bank transfer, etc. Thank you for taking the time to write the review.
