The Cottage is a restored 17th century forge idyllically situated in the quaint village of Sulgrave, within walking distance of Sulgrave Manor the ancestral home of George Washington, with its traditional village pub & store both are only a 2 minute walk.

With a mix of traditional and contemporary features such as flagstone flooring, stunning lounge with views over the rear enclosed garden, WIFI,Bose sound system, smart TV, underfloor heating a unique well in the dining room.

This stylish cottage is perfect for couples or small group of friends or families who wish to explore the area.

A king size bedroom and en-suite shower room are situated on the first floor along with twin bedroom. Adjoining you will find a jack & jill ensuite wet room.

The master bedroom suite is on the second floor with walk in wardrobe, elegant soft furnishings, and en-suite slipper bath with far reaching views.

The cottage is perfectly designed for two couples who would also like their own privacy or for a family of four adults and 2 children.

Wall to wall doors from the lounge open onto a private enclosed south facing garden, which has an abundance of well stocked herbaceous plants and well established trees.

Lots of space to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary or just perfect for guests wishing to recline and relax, you will also enjoy slipping into the laid-back way of countryside life at this blissful retreat with only the peal of bells from the church and the sound of birds serenading you. Plenty of on street parking can be found outside the property in the quiet street.

Fabulous home from Home

We were looking for the perfect home from home to base ourselves for our daughter’s wedding in Sulgrave. This home did not disappoint, the owner was extremely flexible to all the comings and goings. It meant we could relax in-between all the preparations and offer the perfect hospitality to suppliers and guests. The space is bright and contemporary with a homely feel. Bathrooms are luxurious, being able to take an indulgent bath under the stars, perfect pre-wedding requisite!

The kitchen is extensively equipped with everything you could possibly need. Sarah the housekeeper is on hand if you have any problems, and brings a warm welcome on arrival. The hamper with bread, butter, milk etc. was brilliant. The local shop and post office is a treasure trove of lovely products when you run short.

The beds are comfy, so the essential good night’s sleep was enjoyed by all. It’s the first place I can honestly say we did not need to use our own pillows. The endless supply of towels and bedding was the best I’ve ever experienced and you can imagine with a bridal party to accommodate essential.

We had a glorious week and would not have any hesitation in giving this property the highest recommendation.

Beautiful, stylish cottage in a very pleasant village setting

Cannot recommend this delightful cottage enough! The photographs on the website do not do the place justice. It is styled to a very high specification but retains the charm of the place perfectly. Lots of little quirky touches and new things to find. The well in the living area also gave it an added 'wow' factor and the owners have thought of everything, ranging from a fully equipped kitchen to a wide range of DVDs and CD's to listen to at leisure.Also nice to be greeted by the housekeeper Sarah who left a small Welcome Hamper. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended to family and friends. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Lovely property and garden in friendly village

Beautiful property and garden, as advertised. Property is very well thought out including sensor lights on stairs and in jack and jill bathroom and well maintained.

Welcome hamper on arrival with the basics of milk, bread, eggs & butter. Plenty of toilet rolls supplied.

Kitchen equipment exceeded expectation.

Good choice of books/CDs and DVDs.

Slight incline down to village pub but a nice welcome and very good food.

Housekeeper contactable by phone should you experience any problems or have any questions.

Need a car - visited Cotswolds and Blenheim Palace. A good choice to visit Oxford was to drive to Banbury Railway Station & by train to Oxford. Before leaving Oxford Station, purchased tickets for the sightseeing bus at Tourist Information & the buses leave directly outside the exit on a regular basis.

Would gladly return to this property.

Immaculate property with excellent facilities

Beautiful house with everything you could think of to enhance your stay especially the kitchen which was the best equipped I have ever come across, even down to a electric whisk which meant we could enjoy our eat and mess. We had a delightful stay and would highly recommend this rental.

Stunning property

The interiors and layout are both light and spacious A stunning lounge of 60 sqm prefect room for entertaining, the kitchen is fully fitted with integral appliances and range cooker a huge island offers the prefect spot to sip a glass of wine whilst preparing dinner.
