This ground floor apartment is under a 5 minute walk from Chalkwell beach, a sandy beach located next to Chalkwell train station, from where you can take a 50 minute train ride into Central London or just one stop in either direction to Southend on Sea for the longest pleasure pier in the world, or atmospheric old Leigh on Sea fishing centre.
The apartment has a sunny south facing decked area and front garden with views over Ridgeway Green, ideal for a picnic or relaxing in the sun. On the other side of Ridgeway Green is a parade of shops, including a bistro and a Chinese restaurant, together with a beauty parlour, dry cleaners, hairdressing salon and a small convenience store where all your daily essentials can be purchased.
The apartment is less than a 10 minute walk to Chalkwell Park which has multiple children's play areas and open spaces for football and baseball games as well as a gallery, cafe and rose gardens. It is approximately 15 minute walk to Leigh Broadway, which is full of independent shops, bars and restaurants.
Southend on Sea has a busy high street with a covered shopping centre and parking at each end. A 7-screen Odeon cinema is located at the top end with Adventure Island beach front theme park at the bottom end.
The apartment is also only a 15 minute drive from Southend London Airport with extensive flights across Europe.
The apartment has three double bedrooms. It is currently set up with a double bed in the master bedroom, a double bed in the second bedroom and two single beds in the third bedroom. A travel cot can be supplied on request.
The kitchen has wooden worktops, a range style oven with five ring gas hob, built-in fridge/freezer, double Butler sink, integrated dishwasher, microwave, toaster, cafetiere and kettle. There is a small dining table in the kitchen with 6 folding seats.
There is one TV and DVD player in the living room (with some DVDs supplied) and free wifi access.
The bathroom has both a large double ended bath and a walk in tiled shower and wc. There is also a separate wc. Bath/hand towels are supplied. Beach towels and toys are available on request.
The apartment has its own off street parking for one car, although street parking is available nearby
Thoroughly enjoyable stay. The house was great for us. It's location of great. We really enjoyed a lazy stroll along the coast to Southend dropping into a lovely cafe on the seafront and when we were in a rush to get back it is only 5 minutes on the train from Southend Central to Chalkwell Station which is just a couple of mins from the house. The house was lovely for my wife and I but what but it over the top was all the lovely touches for kids which made our young daughters stay perfect. Thanks!
This is a wonderful property for a family stay! Easy access to the surrounding area, being 5 minutes from the beach and local train station, 2 mins from a small local grocery store, yet set well back from the busier roads, thus avoiding traffic and people noise. The property is comfortable, in good decorative order and true to its description. The owners had added thoughtful touches to make us feel welcome and help us settle in (e.g. a small supply of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, detergents etc.). Highly recommended - we are booking again for next summer!
The property is perfect for family with small kids. The owners provided us every possible items we may need, even beach and bath toys, children's books or plastic plates for children. There is plenty of space to park buggies in the hallway and rooms are comfortably big.
We were three families including three 4-years-children and a baby, and this property was just perfect. Thank you Nick and Jess!
This property is perfect for a family, there are 2 large double bedrooms and a kids bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a beautiful terrace perfect for an evening drink. The beach is a short walk away and there is a shop in sight. This property was ideal and the owners were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thank you Nick and Jess xx
Lovely apartment in a brilliant location for gorgeous daily beach walks, Chalkwell Park, shops, restaurants and cafes. The extra touches like the welcoming tea, coffee, milk and even wine made for a lovely start to the holiday.

This property was exactly as advertised and more. The location and outlook onto the square was amazing, near to all amenities, shops, rail station etc...
It was comfortable and the owners had provided every possible item to make our stay enjoyable even to the point of leaving a welcome picnic for our
late arrival. It was very clean and a tremendous amount of spare linen, towels etc.. was at our disposal. Booklets on how to operate all the appliances were readily available together with maps and pamplets of the surrounding area. The property in itself was very large, spacious bright and warm.
Parking was also taken care of as there was a garage and off road parking available.
This is the first time we have rented a property to spend Christmas in the UK and we were extremely pleased with the experience.

Pets are allowed (with prior consent) for £5 per night or £25 per week.

There is a minimum 3 night stay over a bank holiday weekend.
