About the property

Fantastic Summertown apartment, perfect for business, pleasure or academia

What's great about the apartment is that it's ideally located, close to the centre of Summertown, while being in a very quiet development - set back 60 meters from the main road (Woodstock Road).

Inside, the apartment is recently decorated and recarpeted, with a tasteful wooden floor in the spacious and bright sitting/dining room. The sitting room is bright, with south facing french windows. The room has a dining table for 6 people, 2 sofas, a coffee table and a dresser unit with lots of storage space. If you feel like chilling out after a day of exploring, there is a new 40" Sony TV with Netflix and Amazon Instant Video subscriptions and a Blu-ray player. Music is also taken care of with a bluetooth enabled mini hi-fi.

The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, washing/drying machine, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, filter coffee machine and electric oven and hobs. There is also a good selection of plates, crockery, pots and pans.

The bedrooms all overlook the Summertown tennis courts (available for your use - see Neighbourhood description), which is a wonderful sight to wake up to. The master bedroom contains a double bed and fitted wardrobe. A second double room also has a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The third bedroom has a comfortable single bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Being on the first floor (not ground level), the apartment feels very secure and also benefits from an intercom door entry system.

Outside, the apartment sits in a quiet, pleasant development just off Woodstock Road in the leafy and stylish Oxford suburb of Summertown. The development is surrounded by attractive well maintained gardens with benches and green areas to enjoy the outside space. Adjacent to the development is an excellent children's play area, basketball and tennis courts.

All the amenities you could need are nearby, with Summertown's fashionable bars and restaurants along with grocery stores and other local essentials less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment.

Spacious comfortable apartment in great position

We stayed for a week over Christmas. The flat is spacious and comfortable. It is 5 minutes walk to bars, restaurants and shop of Summer Town, Oxford. It is a couple of minutes walk to bus stop for regular buses into the centre of town if you don't want to walk.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Clean, comfortable, and modern

This was our first experience with a VRBO and we were not disappointed. Danny obviously takes a great deal of pride in this property and the kitchen was even more updated than the pictures showed since it now has a new back splash and a vent hood. Overall a very spacious and clean apartment.

Danny was very helpful before and during the trip with transportation questions and one question about the heaters. He had even left a bottle of wine for our enjoyment.

Our daughter had been part of a study abroad in Oxford connected with her American university and we chose this location because it was only a mile from where she had stayed. This made it central to everything she wanted to show us.

The kitchen was well supplied and we were easily able to shop at the CoOp or Tesco and enjoy a meal together. The apartment is very close to Banbury Road which is a main road through Oxford and has many places to eat and shop. It was also very easy to catch a bus to take us into the center of the city.

We received our refund on the deposit exactly a week after we left the apartment.

If you would like to feel like you actually live in Oxford this is a great location.

Sunny, clean exactly what the owner describes

We rented the apartment for 10 days. The apartment is very sunny, clean and confortable. Perfect location to visit Oxford and surrounding areas. The apartment comes with parking an extra plus - we even had dinner in London one night. Highly recommend it. We will rent it again next time we go to Oxford. PS Danny the owner left us a bottle of wine as a welcoming gift.

Comfortable, Quiet and Not Far From Oxford Centre

Sunny living room, large, well-equipped kitchen. Comfortable bedrooms and an easy-to-use bathroom.

On second floor, but not too long a walk-up. Parking available near the property, which is on a bus line.

Grocery and other stores within five minutes walk. Excellent value for money. Easy to deal with Danny, the owner. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Convenient spacious apartment close to Central Oxford

Our family stayed in this apartment for 3 nights and enjoyed the spacious living room and three separate bedrooms. The kitchen was bright and clean and had everything one needed. I recommend this apartment for families or even longer term business meetings. It is very close to the bus stop that takes you into central Oxford in a matter of minutes.

Clean, comfortable, convenient

Flat was an excellent base for three friends spending a few days in and around Oxford. A short way down the Woodstock Road from the A40 and with a choice of bus-stops nearby, it gave us easy access to the centre of town as well as to the surrounding country. The off-street parking was a plus. The flat was quiet, comfortable and well-equipped, and we would be happy to use it again.

The apartment overlooks Alexandra Park tennis courts where you can play anytime for just £6 per court per hour simply by booking online. In addition to 6 all weather courts, the facility also offers the opportunity to prepare for next year's Wimbledon with 5 grass courts!
