We arrived earlier than the official check in time but only waited a short while in a local cafe to meet the host . He was extremely helpful in telling us all about the best areas to go, where to pick up taxis for the airport, etc. Be aware we had to pay an extra €112 in cash for the tourist tax, plus a balance on card which I was unaware of.
The apartment itself is in a great location for easy walking to most of the main sights,, and we ended up walking around 10miles each of the 4 days we were there.Lots of cafes, restaurants, supermarkets nearby. The apartment was spacious, comfy beds and a great shower - but it could do with a little tlc - missing bulbs from some of the lights, door missing from the dishwasher, cups with broken handles, sofa covers could do with a wash etc.But overall we were happy with our stay, and would probably stay there again if we were to go back.
My son loved the table football , and the uncovered fresco panels on the walls were cool, as was the painted wooden beamed ceiling. Also be aware there are 2 fairly steep flights of stairs to get into the apartment , one in the communal area to the 1st floor, the 2nd directly inside the apartment door, so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
