Attractive Georgian Cottage On Harbour Front With Wonderful Sea Views

Overview

Property

Updated: 29-Nov-2016

Attractive Georgian cottage, comfortably furnished and modernised but retaining its charm and character. Its situation is one of the best in the village on the harbour front looking out to sea. 2 sitting rooms and separate dinning kitchen. The front sitting room (see picture) has wonderful views through a picture window of the harbour and open sea. Staithes is a historic fishing village in the North York Moors National Park, the haunt of painters and photographers. Cottage with wonderful views of harbour

  • 5 of 5

Had a lovely week in Garth End Cottage in the quiet village of Staithes. Woke up every morning looking over the harbour then sat in bay window, drinking tea, looking out to sea..perfect...already looking forward to our next stay.

A LOVELY COTTAGE FOR ALL SEASONS

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed in this cottage many times over the years and can never wait to return...

It is warm, cosy, clean and comfortable and very well equipped - the use of the garage at the top of the bank is a huge bonus and the free WiFi is a useful extra, if needed.

There are fantastic views from most rooms, particularly the main bedroom and the Snug (front sitting room), which has a huge bay window, so at high tide you feel as if you're on a ship!

Stunning views of the sea, sky, lifeboat station, cliffs and beach - I just love sitting in here, reading a book, listening to music, watching the waves and the birds. No matter what the weather - simply bliss!

I will certainly keep returning here as long as I can, as this is my favourite cottage in my favourite place, and I always leave here feeling refreshed and relaxed and looking forward to my next visit!

Tranquility at its best

  • 5 of 5

This is our fifth time at this superb cottage with what must be the finest sea view room in Staithes. Ideal for both families and couples who want a relaxed holiday by the sea.Always exceptionally clean on arrival with a caretaker who is more than helpful if required. The cottage now has wifi for those wishing to keep in touch with the outside world and all the facilities are excellent. Close by are a number of great eating establishment with locally sourced food. Staithes also has a children friendly safe beach with rock pooling, crabbing and fosil hunting for children and adults alike.

Wake up in bed in the master bedroom to a fantastic sea view, what more could anyone want.

Within short driving distances are many fine attractions including Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway

We will all be back again next year or before

The village is full of history. It is visually a very beautiful village nestling in the natural harbour made by the Cowbar and the Staithes Beck. The property is spacious and although modernised, retains many of the old features. With its harbourfront position It has some of the best views out to sea in the village.
