Overview

About the property

Sleeping up to 8. Refurbished, well-finished 4 bedroom/2 bathroom property

No.11 sits in a quiet residential road in the perfect location to enjoy all that Tenby and the local area has to offer. It has recently undergone a complete modernisation and refurbishment, turning it into superior quality accommodation for up to 8 people. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms (2 doubles, a twin and a bunk room) and a family bathroom, all with separate access from a landing area. There is also a travel cot provided if needed. Downstairs, the property also features a lounge with gas fire, separate dining room and fully-fitted kitchen accessed from a downstairs hall. Beyond the kitchen is a utility room with washer/dryer and freezer with access to a downstairs shower room/WC. There is an outside yard to the property with seating in which to enjoy the sun or food and drinks outside.

Although fully modernised, the property dates from the Victorian era and has several original features preserved such as a terracotta tiled floor to the rear of the property, dado rails, ceiling mouldings and original Minton floor tiles in the porch.

The local Sainsbury's supermarket is just 3 mins walk from the property, and the small railway station just a couple of corners away. A couple of minute's walk will find you in the picturesque town centre, and all 5 beaches are accessible in 5 to 10 mins on foot, as are coastal paths to neighbouring Saundersfoot and Penally. Like much of Tenby, on-road parking is at a premium, but visitors can park in the station car park (1 min walk) or local multi-storey (3 min walk) for a very small fee of between £15-£18 for the whole week in high season, and around £4 per week in low season.

The property features wall-mounted HD TVs with Freeview in the lounge and largest bedroom, with BT Infinity WiFi accessible from any area of the house and a DVD/Bluray player in the lounge. A selection of books, games, DVDs and local information can also be found in the lounge for the convenience of visitors. Full modern central heating and new electrics have been fitted, as well as USB charging sockets in 3 of the rooms. The downstairs bathroom features a double-size shower, WC and basin. The upstairs bathroom features a full size bath with integrated shower enclosure, WC and basin. All bedrooms feature wardrobes and other storage such as shelving, chest of drawers or bedside tables with lamps. There is a fully-fitted, high quality kitchen with all the equipment you would need or expect, but also featuring a Tassimo coffee maker for those who enjoy a fine cup of coffee. A full-size dishwasher, sink/drainer fridge and gas hob/electric self-cleaning oven also feature. There are 2 double bedrooms, one featuring a king-size bed and one a standard double. There is also a generous twin bed room and a smaller bedroom housing a bunk bed.

In the property's fully-enclosed back yard (reached through a door from the rear hall) visitors can make use of outdoor seating and tables, as well as a storage room for surfboards, beach equipment and similar. This store room also contains the property's dustbins and a BBQ

Please note that our default, like many rental properties in Tenby, is for a Friday arrival. We can accept other types of booking by exception upon request. Please also note that, much though we love them, we are unable to accept pets

About Nick and Holly at No.11

We are a family living in Hampshire with our two children. We fell in love with Tenby a few years ago, and have been coming regularly ever since. A couple of years ago we had the idea of buying a property here. We looked for a long time before finding exactly the right house in exactly the right spot, and then spent 4 months lovingly refurbishing it to what we feel is a welcoming and high quality finish. We hope that visitors will enjoy Tenby and surrounding area as much as we do, and wish you a wonderful time should you wish to stay with us.

Nick and Holly at No.11 purchased this house in 2015

Why Nick and Holly at No.11 chose Tenby

For us, buying in Tenby has been a dream for many years. We had targeted just a few streets which provided the right location - close to beaches and town but quiet and characterful. Finally, after a few false starts, we found No.11. We fell in love with it straight away due to the amount of light and layout. There was still much work to do though in turning it, on the inside, into a space that would be the perfect match for family life in 2015. The house was gutted and refurbished from the floors upwards. Kitchens were moved, a downstairs shower room created, new walls built, bathrooms and WCs knocked into one, re-wiring completed, re-plastering, new boiler.....the list goes on! We have tried to cater for modern needs in terms of high-speed internet, Freeview HD TVs and even charging points for all your electronic devices. We love the house, and hope you do too

What makes this house unique

The unique benefits of this property lie in two main factors. First would be its location. You really can easily walk everywhere you need to go directly from the house in just a few minutes. Parking, which is tightly restricted in Tenby, is also easy given No.11's proximity to the station and multistorey car parks. Grocery shopping is easy due to Sainsbury's being just 3 mins walk away and best of all the town and its beaches are just a short wander away. There are very few properties in Tenby which offer such close proximity to these amenities, but at the same time lie in a quiet street away from the hubbub of town. Second would be the quality of the property itself, being newly refitted to a very high standard in order to offer guests a real premium experience.

Well presented: homely yet spacious. Great location

  • 5 of 5

What a great place to stay! Ideal location very well maintained.Very nice decor & feel to the home. High standard of cleanliness There were 8 of us so used all bedrooms. Dishwasher, fridge, freezer (wasn't working but a new one was on order) cooker, washing machine. Fab dining area which was used for breakfast & the Friday evening Chineese meal. Friendly cleaning staff we met as we arrived earlier. It was a great price for 3 nights-would definatly stay again & highly recommend it when visiting Tenby

This accommodation has everything that anyone could possibly need regardless of age ! We were close to the train and bus station, shops and the harbour and beaches. We were able to visit other parts of Pembroke on the bus .Younger ones thoroughly enjoyed long scenic walks close to home and easily accessible. All amenities are up to date. The house was warm and cosy and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Nick made himself readily available to answer any questions and nothing was too much trouble .Well worth a visit !,😀😀😀

Absolutely beautiful house. Everything we could have wished for was there.

  • 5 of 5

Stayed recently with close friends. The house was large enough for us to have our own space but still cosy. Very well looked after by Nick and Holly who checked that we had arrived safely. Also, great welcome hamper waiting in the kitchen so we could make tea on arrival. Weather was not the best but we didn't care as we were more than happy to enjoy the house. Looking forward to our return.

Family week in Tenby

  • 5 of 5

This lovely house was very clean and had everything we needed for a self catering week. There was enough room for all of us. It was close to the beach and old town. We appreciated the welcome pack. The beds were comfortable and it felt like home. Thank you very much for helping to make our holiday memorable.

Tenby is a beautiful and unspoilt harbour town in the glorious Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Sitting on a headland surrounded by five clean and sandy beaches, Tenby looks out across the blue sea towards the Gower Peninsula and nearby Caldey Island. The picturesque town is famous for its colourfully painted houses, attractive walled harbour and access to its five beaches - North Beach, Harbour Beach, Castle Beach, Paragon Beach and South Beach.

Within the town itself are a multitude of quaint and well-priced restaurants, delightful bars and cafes, as well as a good selection of shops along the two main streets and the town square. Tenby has its own railway station and Sainsbury's supermarket, and has all the facilities you would need without the requirement to ever leave the town if you didn't wish to. However, since it is located in one of the most stunning areas of the UK, Tenby makes the perfect base for sightseeing and leisure activities in the local area. Nearby Pembroke, Manorbier and Carew Castles, Freshwater West and Broadhaven beaches, several National Trust properties, Caldey Island or the many sailing, surfing, windsurfing, fishing or kayaking opportunities offered from Tenby itself. There are numerous footpaths, cycling routes and mountain biking opportunities both from the town or in easy travelling distance, with the nearby Presilli's offering fell-walking. Tenby has a coastal links golf course also. As well as playing all day on the clean, safe and lifeguard-patrolled beaches; younger children can enjoy a number of local attractions including Folly Farm and the Dinosaur Park.

11 Harding Street is perfectly placed to provide visitors with the best of all worlds - situated in a quiet residential street a very short walk away from the railway station, 3 mins walk from Sainsbury's, 2 mins walk from the centre of the town and 5-10 mins walk from all five beaches.

Tenby has a range of tasteful and interesting shops, relaxing cafes and mouth-watering restaurants in which to enjoy lunch or evening meals. Nearby Cafe Vista serves its own fantastic blend of coffee overlooking the harbour and elevated views over North Beach and the sea for those fancying a pastry and a hot drink. South Beach bar & grill offers a superior dining experience or just drinks, situated directly on Tenby's 2 mile long South Beach.

All in all, Tenby is a wonderful choice for those wanting to enjoy a relaxing seaside holiday in beautiful and interesting surroundings, without the crowds and commercialisation which can blight some other coastal tourist areas.
