About Senorio de RODA

"Senorio" dates back to the 16th century and it is the home of the "Marques of Urbina de La Quintana," a noble family serving the Spanish monarchy for more than 400 years. The buildings of the original "Senorio" are listed and protected by law due to its great historical importance. Within the grounds you will also find an exquisite church and beautiful lush gardens lined with palm trees. 

A team of historians, architects and artists have succeeded in the challenge of recreating the essence of an old Spanish village with all the charm, craftsmanship and attention to detail of a residential area several centuries old, whilst incorporating all the features of modern living.

Roda and the surrounding area are very Spanish and benefit from a thriving local community with plenty of local shops, markets leisure and restaurants waiting to be explored. 

Cartagena and Murcia are within a 20 Min drive and these are beautiful Spanish cities. Cartagena has been renowned as an important port since roman times and Murcia a Mecca for shops and baroque architecture.

The average annual temp is 18 degrees for summer it is above 21 degrees C. 
Winter is also Mild on average the temp does not drop below 10 degrees C. which make it an all round destination. Typically Roda Receives 320 days and 3000 hours of sunshine.

We are a family of three who live in the UK but make plenty of visits to Murcia as we intent on living there once our daughter completes her studies. We love Spain for the food, atmosphere, history but ultimately the guaranteed sunshine.

Why Tara Behan chose Cartagena & Mar Menor

Since purchasing this property we have visited a few times now to enhance /upgrade the property giving it a modern feel. We have adding a BBQ, additional sunbeds and a ping pong table. The communal pool can be seen from the roof solarium which you can also use if you want to use to sunbath beside the pool, there is also outside shower facilities. The communal pool is cleaned and well maintained. Beach which is 20 minutes to Hotel 525 which then leads onto the beach. Alternatively it is a 3 minute drive away with free parking under the 525 hotel or you can use communal parking.

This is a quiet family orientated area which is only a 3 minute drive / 20 minute walk to Hotel 525 Market Square Los Alcazares. There are two bars close by Campbells Irish Bar & RODA Bar and would highly recommend the restaurant at Campbells the food is excellent.
