Lovely cottage for a relaxing break on the Somerset Levels, with great views.

3 bedroom, two bathroom detached cottage with extensive views of Somerset levels

A three bedroomed detached cottage situated in the heart of the Somerset Levels, surrounded by many areas of scientific interest, including many RSPB reserves.

The cottage has a sitting room with a flat screened TV and a DVD player, this leads out onto the conservatory that overlooks the very pretty garden that is full of many different varieties of plants and herbs. There is a separate dining room with seating for six people and a highchair. There is a downstairs shower room with a large walk in shower, as well as an upstairs bathroom with a bath and shower. The kitchen is fully fitted with many storage cupboards, dishwasher, microwave, hob and single oven. From the kitchen there is a utility room where the large American fridge freezer and washing machine can be found. From the utility room is the second door out into the garden so can be used as a boot room or area for a dog.

The three bedrooms are upstairs, one large double with a king sized bed and fully fitted pine wardrobes, a cot bed is available if required. The second double bedroom has a double bed and clothes hanging space, both bedrooms have dual aspect windows with views over the Somerset Levels. The third single bedroom has a small double bed and a wardrobe, it too has views over the Somerset Levels.

The garden is arranged around the house, where you will find a decked area, seating and a barbeque. The garden has been designed to allow you to walk along the gravel paths and enjoy the many plants and flowers.

There is parking for three cars in the private driveway of the cottage. For security the gates all lock so children can feel safe wandering around the garden.

Locally in the village is a swimming pool, fully manned with a lifeguard, however there is also a community swimming pool approx three and half miles away. There is a local pub that serves very good food at a reasonable price that is just a five minute walk from the cottage.

For the more energetic family there is a large childrens play area in the village with a basket ball net, swings, adventure slides and an large area to play football. There are many places to walk and enjoy the many views, hear the calls of the Cranes that have been reintroduced recently under the Great Crane project that is situated near to the cottage.

8.5 miles away you will find Glastonbury with its tor and The Clarkes shopping village at Street, not to be missed as you can pick up many bargains here.

15 miles away you will find the lovely sandy beaches of Burnham -on-sea and a further 5 miles the Victorian beachside of Weston-super-mare. Here you will find many activities for the children to take part in.

Scattered across this part of South Somerset are many places to visit and enjoy, including Yeovilton, Taunton, Cheddar caves and Wookey hole, Bristol with its zoo and shopping, along with many varied eating places.

The cottage is heated by radiators and there is a small fire in the lounge, however the cottage is very well insulated and tends to maintain its heat in the evening time.

Lovely old fashioned cottage , modernised to a high standard.

The Somerset levels are another unique part of the UK that deserve to be explored. This cottage is at least as good as described, very comfortable with a lovely garden for sunny days. No hesitation in recommending the cottage and location.

We had a very pleasant stay here. The cottage is spacious and well-equipped with a lovely garden and surroundings. Nice quiet location and the village pub is in walking distance and sells good food. The neighbours who look after the place were very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful Cottage

This is a beautiful cottage which is very spacious and very homely. There was enough room for all 5 of us and we took full advantage. There is a local pub which was very friendly along with the friendly neighbours who spoke to us too. We did a visit to Burnham-on-Sea and Wookey Hole which are both about a 20-30 min drive away.

We loved how secluded it was and that we got a wake up call from the sheep every morning unless it was raining, which we found hilarious.

I would highlight recommend this cottage to anyone planning to go away with family and friends and will most definitely be going back
