Bay Side is stunningly located right on the beach at Freshwater Bay, with panoramic sea views. Rated 5* by Visit Britain this luxury modern apartment boasts 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite), fully fitted luxury kitchen and the most amazing spacious lounge/diner with spectacular sea and beach views. French doors from the lounge frame the seaview beautifully and give access to the private terrace overlooking Freshwater Bay and a gate leads directly onto the beach. Bay Side is located in the iconic Tennysons View building right next to the Life Boat Station. The majority of my guests return year after year to experience the total relaxation that Bay Side offers with the sound of the sea and great sunrises and sunsets to enjoy and recharge the batteries.

Location, location, location! This apartment really is as close to the sea as you can get without getting wet! Quiet and peaceful but just a stone's throw from 3 local restaurants/pubs, tea room, golf course, shops, & bus stop and also right on the beach for swimming & water sports.

Freshwater Bay, on the scenic West Wight coastline has Tennyson's Trail right on the doorstep, perfect for walkers and a golf course within walking distance.

With on-site parking and a bus stop right outside this is the perfect place from which to explore the lovely IOW

Location! Location! Location!: Bay Side is a ground floor apartment with direct access to the beach from the French windows in the lounge/diner. Spectacular views and sunsets can be enjoyed from everywhere you sit in the lounge and the private seafront terrace is perfect for those long lazy summer evenings enjoying a glass of wine as the sun goes down. Sit indoors with the French doors open listening to the sound of the waves rolling up the beach and dine looking out to sea from the lovely dining area.

Make no mistake this location is a one-off for a self-catering apartment, and it is actually right on the beach rather than just having a sea view.

The apartment is modern, very bright, spacious and stylish with a tiled floor throughout. It is decorated in a contemporary 'holiday' style with quality furniture, soft furnishings, beds, rugs, curtains and sofas so as to be comfortable but stylish. A modern fireplace in the lounge gives extra warmth in the winter and there is a very efficient gas central heating system for colder months and plenty of hot water for baths and showers.

I also have a two bedroom/two bathroom luxury apartment in Southbourne near Bournemouth. Totally renovated in 2017 it has sea views and a great location for exploring the local area.

The kitchen in the apartment is well-equipped with all modern conveniences. Plenty of pots and pans, dinner service, coffee pot, tea pot, trays, cutlery and cooking utensils. We also have a microwave, extractor hood, full-size fridge/freezer etc. Perfect to prepare meals and snacks - although there are very many fine-dining restaurants on the Island as well as budget eateries and takeaways. Good restaurant and tea-rooms and pub all within a very short walk in the Bay. We have outside table and chairs on the terrace overlooking the Bay where there is outside lighting to enjoy meals later into the evening as you watch the sun go down over the sea. The sitting room has a flat screen TV, DVD & CD player and books, wi-fI, magazines, DVDs. CDs, games and jigsaws to keep you amused, but mostly you will be watching the waves rolling into the Bay from the comfort of the two luxury leather sofas (one with recliner). The apartment is ground-floor and is therefore suitable for older guests

Best Holiday Flat Ever

We had the most super holiday here, it was wonderful to walk through the front door and immediately see the quality and care that had gone into this property.We knew at once that we had chosen well.

Everywhere was truly immaculate and so well equipped, we really couldn't believe our luck at finding it.

The icing on the cake was looking through the french doors at that view, to be able to even sit inside and still have this fabulous outlook.

We had a great time exploring the island and Osborne House is a must.There are some lovely walks directly from the flat ,it was great not having to use the car every day.

Most evenings we ate on the patio, but had a couple of excellent meals in The Red Lion. We shall certainly be making a return visit and would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful Apartment

We stayed here for a four day relaxing holiday. The apartment is beautifully furnished with everything you need and the views are to die for. A bottle of apple juice, box of chocolates and a welcome card were much appreciated. We would definitely not hesitate to book again and recommend to friends.

It just doesn't come any better than this!

We (a family of 3 adults) spent 2 weeks at Bay Side this summer. Even though we well know the beauty of Freshwater Bay from the many times we have stayed in the area before, we found the views from Bay Side to be beyond even our expectations. The apartment has a large private patio which allows one to sit and enjoy the wonderful views and watch the ever-changing ocean. Bay Side is beautifully furnished, spacious, well maintained and spotlessly clean (we mean REALLY spotlessly clean, thanks to Adrienne the housekeeper). There are no stairs to climb - everything is on one level. We appreciated the convenience of the free parking space close to the apartment entrance - it made it easy to unload & load our luggage (we were visitors from Canada) and to bring in groceries from the nearby Co-Op. The kitchen is large and very well equipped, and there is a good sized dining area. The 2 bathrooms (one with tub and one with shower) are large, modern and well appointed - lots of counter space. The comfortable living room was a place we looked forward to coming back to each day. The free wifi had a very good signal. As far as customer service is concerned, we cannot say enough about the owner, Lesley. All of our communications were answered promptly and courteously, and the check in procedure (key safe) was very efficient and easy. Lesley has attended to every detail in making sure that the accommodation is 5 star PLUS. We plan to return next year.

Amazing beachfront apartment!

We stayed for a week in this idyllic location, this apartment is truly amazing and has everything there that anyone could possibly need for a stay here whatever the time of year. The view is to die for and the apartment is luxurious and very comfortable, the owner deals personally with all aspects of the let and welcomed us for our stay with a bottle of apple juice, box of chocolates and a welcome card which was an unexpected, but lovely touch to our stay. Would definitely come again.

Wonderful Apartment - Wonderful Views

Mum and I decided this year to have a "Beach" holiday but with a bit of luxury and this apartment was a wonderful choice. Having stayed at Lesley's great cottage in the Cotswolds I knew that this apartment was going to be of a great standard, very comfortable and also very clean and I wasn't disappointed.

There are wonderful views out over the sea from the lounge and there was always something going on for my Mum who is in her late 70's to sit and watch, either from the apartment or just by walking the very few steps down to the beach.

This is a lovely part of the island, less busy and with less people than the Eastern side which for us was great. There are shops that sell all you probably need for a week in Freshwater or if you really can't live without something there are big supermarkets and a large M&S in Ryde.

Lesley is a pleasure to deal with and always replies very quickly and will go out of her way to be helpful.

We stayed in early September and the apartment was warm and filled with sunlight all day. The double glazing is so good that I would love to return in the winter and watch the waves crashing about knowing that I was warm and snug inside.

If you want to visit the Island but away from the frenetic tourist activity then I would most definitely recommend Bay Side. We loved it.

Car: not necessary

Freshwater Bay is located on the 'dinosaur' coast of the Island and adjacent to Tennysons Down with fine walks in all directions, yet it is only a 15 minute drive to Newport, the Island's capital. The apartment offers some of the most dramatic views on the island and is only a par 4 from Freshwater Bay Golf Club (where you can 'pay and play').

Bay Side is the perfect quiet and peaceful sea/beachfront spot to relax, recharge the batteries, sunbathe, watch boats or just have a nice glass of wine and watch the sun go down in the sea over the Bay. Or maybe you prefer to enjoy water sports in the Bay - swimming, snorkelling, windsurfing, fishing, canoeing or walk the coastal footpaths or a round or 2 of golf. There are some lovely restaurants on the Island to suit all pockets and tastes.

Sightseeing and fishing boat trips are available at nearby Yarmouth Harbour and all the tourist attractions, towns and villages are all easily accessible.

Take a trip on the Open Top Bus which passes by the apartment - you can hop on and off wherever the fancy takes you.

Other Activities: Boat trips, sea fishing trips, ghost walks, guided walks, fossil hunting

Golf: Perfect location for a golfing break. Freshwater Bay Golf course is a short stroll away. Breathtaking scenery can be enjoyed from this spectacular course perched on the cliff-top overlooking the Bay. Playing a round here is an unforgettable experience! The Island has a number of other good quality golf courses all within a short drive.
