I POGGI GIALLI 12+2 sleeps, splendid Tuscan villa with pool & jacuzzi near Siena

Receptive structure. In the landscape of endless stretches of golden fields, rows of vines and neat rows of olive trees of the Valdichiana stands I Poggi Gialli, an elegant property set in a flourishing farm estate known for its production of oil and Chianti DOCG wine; you will be won over by its fine features. It is a typical, 17th century farmhouse of proud aspect, whose exterior, red-brick walls hint at decades of a past rural life and work in what was once the farmyard with animals and crops but is today a green, manicured garden with private pool and Jacuzzi tub. Throughout the house, restoration work has been done with recycled locally-made, authentic materials from different periods: just go into the large living room to see the still-intact animal feeders and drinking troughs with the original terracotta flooring; the rooms are decorated with Tuscan furniture of solid wood from the first half of the 20th century. To all this add the conveniences of comfortable rooms, a fully-equipped and functional kitchen and a beautiful park with covered parking area. It is not difficult to understand the deep connection with one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany that has a lot to offer to all types of visitors, from pristine nature to art and culture, from outdoor sports to good cuisine. The A1 Motorway (Autostrada del Sole) and the E45 highway, just five minutes away, will take you with short trips to the best tourist spots of Umbria and Tuscany such as Siena, Arezzo, Lake Trasimeno, Montepulciano, Pienza, Perugia, San Gimignano and many more.


The house is on two floors connected internally by a travertine staircase. The main entrance on the ground floor leads into a large living room, with computer area, connected to the kitchen, with dining area, and then to a hallway with toilet. From the hallway a staircase leads up to the first floor consisting of six bedrooms, all with ensuite bathroom with shower: three double bedrooms, one twin bedroom with joinable beds, a double bedroom with divisible bed communicating with a further double bedroom. This last bedroom has its own private access from the outside, a kitchenette and loft bed.


The one-hectare park of I Poggi Gialli is set inside a 20-hectare estate of vineyards alternating with olive groves, woodland and arable land. The garden is a tranquil place, coloured with climbing roses, gaudy potted flowers, cypresses, olive trees and the typical Tuscan vegetation, with the form of the land reminiscent of the gentle hills of Tuscany, sloping gently down from the flat gravel area, between the house and the porch, and soft lawn to the pool. You can dine under the large portico, savouring the delicacies prepared on the nearby wood stove and barbecue, you can play ping-pong and table football or you can simply enjoy a well-deserved rest by the pool or in the Jacuzzi tub, sipping a good glass of wine at sunset.

Swimming Pool

Set a little lower than the house, which is about 20 m away, the pool is reached across a stretch of lawn and down a few steps, or simply by crossing the garden. An irregular curved shape, it measures 8 x 13 m (at the maximum points) with the depth varying from 1,10 to 1,80 m. It has a stone border, PVC lining, chlorine purification, internal lighting and can be accessed either by Roman steps or an iron ladder. From the beautiful Jacuzzi tub, set above one side of the pool, the water forms a small waterfall that, passing through a few rocks, makes ripples in the pool, creating a romantic effect. The 200 sq m solarium area, for the most part paved in stone but also with some lawn areas, is on two levels and is equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs, umbrellas, outdoor cold-water shower and two gazebos, one with table and outdoor seating area, the other with a table seating four and chairs. The pool is available from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October.

Both towns can be reached in under an hour. The exit of the A1 Motorway, Valdichiana, is just a few kilometres away, allowing you to move quickly throughout central Italy. The railway station of Sinalunga is connected to the more important one of Chiusi.
