Cornish Pearl is found in the heart of St Ives town where a short walk leads you onto Fore Street with all of its shops, cafes, Cornish pubs, restaurants and galleries and St Ives harbour and beach, where it is a delight to be anytime of the year, particularly so if you're joined by your four-legged friend! Thoughtfully furnished with your comfort and warmth in mind, Cornish Pearl is ideal for a family of six or a couple wanting a welcoming spacious home for a break away.

The town house is based over three floors with the sitting room, dining area, kitchen and utility area being on the ground floor, two bedrooms, the family bathroom and separate WC and washbasin on the second floor and the wonderfully light loft room is on the third floor. About 50 feet behind Cornish Pearl is a very conveniently located privately owned pay and display car park.

Accommodation consists of Sitting/ Dining Room with L-shaped sofa, tub armchair, foot stool, TV/DVD, gas fire, table with four chairs and bench, iPod dock, Wi-Fi, DVD's and games

Kitchen with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/ freezer, coffee maker and more. Door leads to

Utility Room with washing machine, area to hang wet suits etc. and back door to small storage area at rear

Bedroom 1 with king size bed and sea glimpses

Bedroom 2 - Twin beds

Family bathroom with corner bath and shower, WC, wash basin

Separate WC and small wash basin

Bedroom 3 has a king size bed, dual aspect sea views from dormer windows and french doors leading to a balcony with sea views

This is a very well equipped and spacious property

Communication was easy and the house had everything we needed and more. It is truly a home from home. It's an easy walk into the centre of town. There's an (expensive) car park immediately behind the property and a more reasonable one a few minutes' walk away up a hill and flight of steps opposite. We were three adults but the house could easily cope with more.

A HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Absolutely lovely place, well appointed for access to the town and harbour and the Painting School. Had everything we could need - well stocked in terms of tea bags, coffee, sugar etc and all the utensils, crockery, pots washing machine etc you could need. Heating was well timed and regulated too - the temperature was perfect. Nice soft bedding and towels as well.

A few things:-

- My sister said the front door was quite hard to lock or unlock from the inside (can't remember which).

- Could have done with better instructions re how to work the telly and DVD player.

- The fact that the TV is fixed means you can't angle it round very much

- Would have been nice to have some specific recommendations on restaurants in the folder

- Beds comfy but squeaky!

- We both thought that the front lounge needed a venetian blind as people look in and you don't want to draw the curtains during the day. I would also say the same for the front bedroom.

- the dishwasher door is catching on the board below and needs seeing to - but other than that it worked perfectly well

- we thought it would have been a nice gesture to have put half a pint of milk in the fridge so you can have an instant cuppa after a long journey - but just a suggestion!

All in all a lovely place and would definitely stay there again!

Blinds are being fitted this week as they should have been fitted first thing in the New Year, so should you wish to return then this will be sorted TV is a new one so will definitely have a look at that for you and the squeaky bed is hoping to be resolved also Glad the heating was perfect as in the winter months we like our guests to be warm and toasty and it can sometimes be a struggle working it just right ! Cornish pearl

the house was perfect for a winter stay, and exactly right for us whilst we attended the school of painting.The house a was clean and really well equiped and most importantly very warm, spacious and lit. A couple of negatives.. the grill and oven hadnt been cleaned which was odd as all else spotless. the soapdish in the shower was broken leaving a jagged edge. Also it would be good to have some shelves in the bathroom and towel rails over the radiator perhaps.

Brilliant location and great house!

Stayed at the Cornish Pearl for a few days whilst my sister was working down in St Ives, myself and Mum had a little trip down to explore the area. Stayed Jan 2018 for 3 nights.

On arrival the house is easily accessible and all went smoothly with the details that were provided to enter the property.

The house sits on a main road into St Ives as literally you are a stones throw away from the start of the little shops and just a couple of minutes walk to the beach.

The car park is expensive at the back of the house so do use the one at the top of the hill where the owners say to park.

The house is beautifully decorated- and the owners sure do love Laura Ashley! The hall leads off to the lounge and dining area which boats a seaside feel with its decor. The kitchen has everything you could wish for and more- plenty of opportunity to cook whilst you were away. Great space through the kitchen to kick off those sandy shoes and wet swim outfits.

The house boats some lovely bedrooms- 2 doubles and 1 twin room. The bathroom is great- shower and bath depending on your needs and a separate toilet helps if you have a full house.

The loft double room- ideal for people under 5ft 8! I am 5ft5 and nearly had some near misses on the beams!!

Beds all comfy and the rooms all had a very homely feel to them and a high standard of decor.

The location of the house- well you have a Co-op as you turn left and down the hill a little to stock up on some bits and bobs and then pubs, shops, cafe, and all things St Ives literally less than a minute away. The train station is this side of the bay so you haven't got far to go to that.

The Cornish Peal is somewhere I would certainly stay again- the cliché- Home from Home has to be used as it simply is- you can't ask for a better well stocked kitchen and the house does really feel like you can relax and unwind in after a days outing. Obviously we went completely out of season so can't comment on how the road and area would be like in peak season- but to be honest- St Ives will always be busy in peak times so it would no doubt be a case of getting stuck into life down there in summer- but as for the house its in the perfect location and wouldn't change where I stayed.

Overall a fantastic house and certainly recommend staying here for your stay in St Ives.

What a great find for a Christmas break!

There is nothing that is missing in this delightful house! The only negative thing to say is that the parking is awkward if you need to use your vehicle more than once a day . however what an absolutely fully equipped home from home this is .it was inviting from the moment we entered.

The shops are plentiful as are there cafes,bars, pubs and shops for everyone. The beach is a short walk away that we took our two cockerpoos pups to.The owners are very attentive to needs ( we had a 21st birthday to sort for Christmas Day.)

Well done I certainly want to return .
