Guestbook comments from the owner

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cornish Pearl in St Ives. The house was comfortable, very clean, nicely decorated and had everything we could possibly want. It was in walking distance to the beaches, shops and center of town. I will recommend this property to my friends who visit St Ives.

Fantastically situated for the town and beaches, a real pearl!

  • 5 of 5

From the outside the house is very well presented and situated, but once you step inside the house is a real home from home. It is beautifully decorated, with a lovely fire to cozy up in front of on the colder evenings. Plenty of games for the whole family to get involved. Lovely kitchen with all the necessities. Loved every minute of our St Ives stay and will definitely be back to this home. Sara and clan from Wiltshire

The best stay so far in St. Ives

  • 5 of 5

We just loved the house - it has so much atmosphere and has so many nice details - we just felt at home after 5 minutes. Very nice bedrooms - beatiful furniture and a nice view to the sea! The light in the bedroom in the middle was fantastic. We will come back next year for sure.

Thanks to you both for making our stay so wonderful.

Best Thomas and Annette

Beautiful tastefully furnished home

  • 5 of 5

Our 3 children and my husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Cornish Pearl in July. The house was fully equipped with even bucket and spades for the children. The beds were so comfortable and it is a very spacious and bright house. We walked to the beach and the shop is a 2 mins walk. I would love to return. Thank you.

Convenient cottage in St Ives

  • 4 of 5

Cornish Pearl is located in a great place for exploring St Ives. There are two car parks close by, although I'd recommend using the long stay up the hill. On the same road is a co-op, local convenience store, cinema and a great Mexican restaurant called the Mex. It's a short stroll to the harbour and beaches - distances and times are in the detailed handbook for the cottage.

Cornish Pearl is a lovely house to share with friends/family or just as a couple. Kitchen comes fully equipped (although could do with some non stick pans) and the living and dining areas are a great size and furnished lovely. The bedrooms are all good sizes and they view from the balcony in the eaves is great (if you ignore the carpark).

We did find the bed uncomfortable so didn't get much sleep.

Overall a great place to stay and would highly recommend

Owner's Response: Thanks for the very kind words. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and your comments are duly noted. All the furnishings are new this year and I am sorry to hear about your experience with the bed. It is so difficult to accommodate everyone's preferred mattress and so far you are the only guests to note a problem, but rest assured (no pun intended) we will endeavour to ensure a good nights kip on your next visit to the pearl. Hope to see you again soon.

Einfach zum Wohlfühlen

Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und dazu liebevoll eingerichtet.

Die Lage ist toll, nicht ganz im Trubel, aber doch zentral.
