About Mary-Ann Nossent

Mike and I bought the property in 2012 and live next door to the cottage. We fell in love with the garden first (well I did), and having previously had an allotment in Kent am delighted to have my fruit and vegetables a bit nearer to me now. We have done a huge amount in both the house and the garden. Like any garden it is of course a 'work in progress', and I have an ongoing battle with new plants and the rabbits!

Mike and I both work from home so one of us will be around to chat or deal with any queries. Mike is a Rights of Way lawyer and I am an equality consultant. Lwcus is our Border Collie

Mary-Ann Nossent purchased this cottage in 2012

Why Mary-Ann Nossent chose Carmarthenshire

We think this place is special and unique and we like to share it with like minded people. It is in a beautiful rural location with the advantage of being close to the A48 making exploring quick and easy.

We want our guests to leave here feeling they have had a very special stay and we do our up most to achieve this. Our information folder is regularly updated and includes personal advice on local shops and restaurants. The folder also promotes local attractions, gardens, castles, beaches and suggestions of what to do on those rare rainy days! We always take time to share suggestions with our guests so that they can best enjoy their stay in the County.

What makes this cottage unique

A main part of the Cottage experience is the garden which provides a quiet haven for visitors. We are continually developing this for our guests to enjoy. The gardens attract much wildlife and many of our guests have said how much they enjoy watching the birds so we ensure that the bird feeders are always fully stocked. We have recently produced information on the birds that visit us.

Beautiful Pen Y Garn

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous short break to Pen Y Garn, gorgeous cottage with lovely fire and places to explore, the cottage was just perfect, clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Mary-Ann was delightful and was on-site to assist if needed :-) Would love to re visit in the summer to take full advantage of exploring outside and to sit on the patio with a vino!

I would definitely recommend a stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay in Pen Y Garn Cottage. It was well equipped and very comfortable for the two of us. The owner was very helpful and lovely to talk to. There is just so much to do in the area, we shall definitely return!

Peaceful and cosy cottage in beautiful location

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely time at this cottage and would highly recommended it.

We chose it because of its location with easy access to the coast and the Beacon Brecons park, and were pleased that there were lots of other attractions nearby.

The cottage is very well-equipped, well-maintained and comfortable. The garden is beautiful.

The owners were fantastic from the very moment we contacted them with some questions before proceeding with the booking. They made us feel very welcome.

We would love to go back.

geschmackvoll und sehr gemütlich eingerichtetes Haus in herrlich ruhiger Umgebung

  • 5 of 5

B. Foxhunter Inn, Tenby, Stackpole, Bosherston, Pembroke, Solva, St. Davids, Porthgain - The Sloop Inn, The Botanic Garden.
