Sunny 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Apartment w. shared Pool, Aircon/Heating, Parking

This sunny two-bedroom apartment is ideal for a family holiday, for a couple who like plenty of space, or for a group of friends. Retired people looking for a winter let will also find it perfect.

It is wheelchair friendly, and very close to the beach (1 block), the centre of town and buses – in fact, there’s a supermarket right next door and there are bars and restaurants just beyond that. Despite this, it is quiet - the 6th floor is well above any noise.

The apartment is well-appointed and has air-conditioning and central heating throughout for comfort in summer and winter. There is a flat-screen TV with access to most of the free channels in English (BBC, ITV, Channel 4, etc), as well as most free satellite channels for the rest of Europe - French, German, Dutch, etc. The master bedroom has French windows onto the large balcony, and an en-suite bathroom with a bath. The second bedroom has two single beds and the second bathroom has a spacious shower.

The living-room-dining room also opens onto the large (20 m2) balcony, and has a view of the sea. The balcony has an awning to keep it cool, and views to the mountains as well as the sea. In addition to the separate kitchen, there is a small utility room with washing machine.

The building is modern and very well-maintained, with gated security, although Calpe is very safe. There is a large shared swimming pool with space to lounge around it, and a shaded parking space within the gated area.

Calpe is perfect for a beach holiday but also for walkers and birdwatchers. It has two beautiful long beaches, great restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and pockets, a fascinating old town, the large Salinas lake with flamingos, duck, cormorants and many other birds, and is surrounded by "hikeable" hills and mountains, with lovely inland valleys and villages to explore.

Benidorm's many theme parks and water parks - Aqualandia, Terra Mítica, Mundomar, Terra Natura (also contains Aqua Natura) are only 40 minutes away.

Lastly, there’s the stunning Rock – the extraordinary Peñon de Ifach, Gibraltar’s little brother - a great invitation to an easy stroll or serious rock-climbing. And the cove by the rock is perfect for snorkelling or scuba-diving.

Great location, lovely apartment

The apartment is ideally located near to the beach, shops and town. There is a huge choice of restaurants of all different cuisines within walking distance and markets on on several days for those of us who like a bargain! The apartment was very clean, spacious and well equipped. All the other residentsof the apartment block were really friendlyand made us feel welcome. The owner Lana was helpful and accommodating. I would certainly recommend it in fact we have already booked our return visit.

We looked for months for a property to buy as a holiday rental, and this apartment was head and shoulders above the rest. The building is modern, but the rooms are larger than in most recently-built properties, and the layout is excellent. The balcony is fabulous - it is wide, and runs the length of the living-room and master bedroom, which both open onto it. There are good views towards the sea and the mountains. The bathrooms and kitchen are well-equipped - we bought it from a family who used it for their own holidays. The apartment's location is perfect - very close to the beach - and almost as close to the town's shopping and business area, but fronting onto a wide, tree-lined avenue with a cycle lane. My husband and I hope to be able to live in our villa for many years to come, but will be very happy to move to this apartment one day if we feel the time has come for a change!

Great rock-climbing on Calpe's own rock, hill-walking from Calpe itself and nearby.

Many theme parks in and near Benidorm, half an hour away by car, including Terra Mitica "largest, most exciting theme park in Europe", water parks - Aqualandia - and an extraordinary zoo-park "Two parks in one, Terra Natura also contains Aqua Natura, a fantastic water park for a splash a minute fun or relaxing in the spa or on the beach".

Beautiful drives in the mountains inland, including to Guadalest, with its castle perched high on top of a mountain.

Very close to town, with a supermarket next door. The pool and building are very well-maintained. The apartment is spacious and sunny, with windows at the back and front, for a lovely sea-breeze. There is a separate air-conditioning/heating unit in each bedroom as well as the living-room, so the temperatures can be adjusted to all tastes.
