Large early Victorian period house.

Stunning large house on the edge of Totnes, with far-reaching views over Totnes and Dartmoor. The house has been split. Easy walking distance to the town, country fields behind. One acre large garden perfect for kids to explore.

Fantastic Place

  • 5 of 5

Totnes is one of my favourite towns in Britain. It’s a heady-mix of old-fashioned charm, Great places to eat, bohemian characters and glorious countryside.

When the weather is good, we reckon that you can’t find a better place to take a holiday in the UK.

But finding good places to stay around this area is really hard: they are often booked up way in advance, or very expensive during the season - as it’s just so popular around here.

Finding The Mount was a real treat. It’s so close to town and really easy to walk to, yet tucked away on the hill next to countryside. So you get the both of both worlds.

The views are literally breath-taking. We could see all the way to Haytor on Dartmoor and with a camera you’d have no end of chances at great shots.

The garden is lush, green and massive. Plenty for our kids to enjoy. Inside the house itself is large, historic and full of character. Oh, and a wonderfully equipped kitchen with an old Rayburn that we made great cakes in.

Our two labradors enjoyed sleeping in front of the wood burners when it was chilly at night.

Highly recommended.
