Well appointed,tranquil 3 bedroom house large pool and gardens.

Les Deux Marronniers nestles in tranquil surroundings, near the vibrant town of Bergerac. If you are searching for a relaxing place to spend your holiday then this property could be ideal for you! Whether you intend to spend your time relaxing on the rear terrace, enjoying the garden and countryside views, swimming in the large pool, sampling the local wines accompanied with the beautiful fresh produce available, snoozing on the front terrace after a spot of lunch or exploring superb medieval villages and markets, then this is the place for you.Located in the small village of Saint Capraise d'Eymet, between Eymet and Bergerac, you can expect very comfortable living accommodation, tranquil surroundings,and birdsong. The only interruption in the evening is the croaking from our family of frogs nearby.This non smoking, spacious, accommodation on 2 levels, comprising lounge, fitted kitchen with dining area, 2 large bedrooms (1 with ensuite shower room) 1 small single bedroom, family bathroom. The freshwater swimming pool, with sun terrace and sun loungers , are at the rear of the property and surrounded by garden area. There is ample parking, Wifi, and 2 bicycles available for your enjoyment. Housekeeping and laundry is available (paid locally) and a welcome pack of basic essentials can also be arranged (paid locally).The nearest shops are a short drive away, with Bergerac offering an abundance of retail therapy and dining options. The area offers plenty of sightseeing destinations, country walks and local markets, plus a variety of activities on the Dordogne river.Bergerac airport is just 15 minutes away.During summer months the house is available for short lets of 2 nights plus.The owners, with their 2 friendly spaniels, Josh and Robyn, live in the adjacent property and are always are happy to suggest places to visit, markets to explore and restaurants to enjoy. This has to be one of the best places to stay in the Dordogne. Less than 20mins from Bergerac airport and easy to get to.

The accommodation is superb and has everything you will ever need to make your stay comfortable.

Wendy and Rob are terrific hosts, excellent company and looked after us extremely well. Country side around is beautiful with plenty of walks.

Some of the prettiest villages in France are only a short drive away.

Local markets, of which there are many, can supply all your needs during your stay.

There is plenty to do and see in the area, or just chill out by the pool in the beautiful gardens.

We had a lovely, peaceful and tranquil holiday, with wonderful weather .

Highly recomended.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay and made use of the pool everyday. The owners Wendy and Rob were very helpful with any information needed and we thoroughly enjoyed out stay.

If you are looking to relax with very comfortable facilities, lovely gardens, large freshwater pool, within easy reach of lovely medieval villages, markets and vineyards, then this is an ideal location for you.

The village of Saint Capraise lies between Bergerac and Eymet. The village is very tranquil, with few passing cars and the occasional tractor. Situated just a short drive from Bergerac airport, a car will be an important neccessity. The villages of Eymet, Issigeac, Monbazillac, Beaumont, Castillones, Miramont and Villareal are all within easy driving distance providing picturesque settings to enjoy a stroll, shopping at the markets or just enjoy a cup of coffee. During July/August many of these lovely places host night markets, where you will find some interesting craft shopping, retail therapy and delicious food and wine to enjoy whilst sitting in the market squares. The food varies from fresh oysters, moules frite, grilled chicken and meats, pizza and a variety of salads and fruit. It just the loveliest way to meet local people and enjoy eating under the evening sun. Eymet is a delightful, medieval village just 12 minutes away. It is lovely to wonder round the cobbled streets, enjoy the picturesque architecture, plus the Thursday morning market. In Eymet, there is a variety of dining options with an ever popular Pizza restaurant, Bistro, Creperie and coffee bars.A wander through the park, by the river is a very enjoyable experience. The park hosts regular Brocantes where an abundance of items are on offer. Magnificent flower beds adorn the town of Bergerac (which won 'four flowers' at the Best Decorated Towns and Villages competition) but, far from being simply a pretty 'picture' town, Bergerac lives and thrives thanks to its legendary local gastronomy, regional wines, multitude of activities, flourishing markets, antique fairs and pedestrian walkways.There is an abundance of dining options in Bergerac for either lunch or dinner. The renovated old town has been restored to its former beauty and a pleasurable afternoon can be spent simply strolling its streets and relaxing in its shady squares while admiring the museums and restored buildings.On Saturdays there is a huge market set up in the centre of the town around the cathedral. Wednesdays hosts a smaller Organic market.

We have a large freshwater pool surrounded by delightful garden. A selection of dining spots around the garden with bbq, Views of the garden and rolling countryside from your dining terraces, tranquility personified, ending the days watching the beautiful sunset. You can be as active as you choose with golf nearby, watch the occasional cricket match, go sightseeing at one of the many delightful medieval villages and dine at one of the many restaurants close by.
