Whitley Farm Dairy, near Sidmouth, is a detached stone cottage, full of charm and character. Its spacious accommodation sleeps 4 people. This 17th century converted dairy nestles amongst the rolling Devon fields in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is an idyllic rural retreat, offering total privacy in a quiet and secluded position, having its own driveway, yard, patio and grassed garden. It is equipped with dog proof fencing and has views of open countryside. This is the ideal holiday cottage for those wanting peace and quiet, birdsong and stargazing, just a stone's throw from the coast.

Whitley Farm Dairy is part of Whitley Farm and neighbours the farmhouse and cottage, while remaining private and secluded. Whitley Farm is a smallholding of 10 acres, with chickens, sheep and a small herd of Dexter beef cattle. You are welcome to join us for chicken feeding, egg collection and lamb petting.

The Dairy has easy access to Honiton golf Course, Devenish Pitt riding stables and many footpaths including the East Devon Way, and yet is only a 15 minute drive from the Jurassic coast's seaside towns of Beer, Branscombe, and Sidmouth. Lyme Regis is a little further, about 25 minutes drive.

The closest town for all amenities is Honiton, 8 minutes drive, which has a Tesco and Lidl supermarket. There is a Waitrose in Sidmouth, 15 minutes drive, and a Sainsburies in Ottery St Mary, 10 minutes drive. Or you could arrange to have your groceries delivered.

There are many pubs and restaurants within a 10 minute drive.

Inside the cottage there is a spacious open plan living area with exposed beams, TV with DVD and French doors to the patio entertaining area. The kitchen is very well equipped and has a dining area. Ground floor double bedroom with king size bed, exposed beams and views of the fields. Shower room with hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. Stairs from the living rom lead to an open plan galleried second bedroom with twin beds. Stair gate provided.

Presented to a high standard thoughout, with comfortable furnishings, lovely beds and high quality White Company towels and bedlinen.

We are family friendly and provide a high chair, travel cot, baby bath.

Dogs welcome. Free Wifi.

Such a super relaxing break!

My family and I stayed here for Easter but we really wished we could have stayed longer as the area is so beautiful and peaceful.

The cottage itself is of high quality with a very well equipped kitchen, good range of entertainment and extremely clean. Reading through all the positive reviews in the guest book most guests who have stayed here are families or couples with dogs but you would never have known as the cottage is pristine! The garden is fenced so very safe to let your dogs run lose.

A fantastic welcome treat was waiting for us which we all appreciated after a long journey! There is plenty of information about the area and ideas for days out. The sea is approximately 10-15 minutes away with stunning coastal paths and pretty villages to explore.

We will definitely be back and next time for a week and in the summer so we can make use of the garden!

Excellent visit - what else can I say except a huge thank you. You really know how to make your guests feel at home.

Perfect for our Christmas getaway. Immaculately clean and cosy furnishings, with everything we needed for a 3 day retreat. Lovely hospitality as we arrived to find prosecco in the fridge and fresh eggs from the farm. Would be back in a heartbeat!

Such a beautiful and well equipped cottage. The added extras of eggs, milk, biscuits and bits for the dog gave such a welcome. The underfloor heating kept us warm, and the tiled floor was ideal for the dog, especially in the wet/muddy conditions of being away in winter. One of the best places we have stayed and would be even better in the summer months. Definately recommend others to stay there.
