My name is Valerie and together with my husband Terry, we bought this villa in 2005. We especially love the fact that due to the mild salty warm climate, the World Health Organisation has designated that it is beneficial to people with arthritis., which I have suffered with for the past 30 years, it certainly seems to help me, there are within an hours drive also thermal spas, at Archena, which further help with this condition.
It is a lovely family area with lots of coffee shops. Restaurants and bars ideal for relaxing. Also a five minute drive away, I enjoy the warm waters of Carabassi beach.

This property is ideally placed on the edge of the urbinisation, right next to fields and a nature reserve, with beautiful views over the mountains and wonderful sunsets. There are three bedrooms, one has an en suite, family bathroom and also a downstairs cloakroom. The private pool is just outside the back door, together with a lovely outside dining area and a fantastic stone built barbecue, with granite work tops and a sink and tap for preparing and cooking the fantastic local fresh food that you can buy from the many markets that are in the area. It is a much loved family home rather than just a rental property, and you will find that the kitchen is particularly well equipped, with mostly every utensil that you could think of. It is within a few minutes strolling distance of the restaurants and bars, where you can find mostly any type of cuisine that takes your fancy, Indian, Chinese, Spanish, And also a grill bar, that will cook your favourite chicken and chips, steak and chips, Burgers etc . The villa is within a few minutes drive of the lovely local unspoilt beaches. With soft sand and warm waters.
You will be staying in a family home which is clean and comfortable, rather than just a rental property.
The beds are comfortable, the villa is well equipped and situated in a quiet location and yet only a few minutes stroll to great shopping, restaurants and bars, even a Burger King if you wish.
There's everything what you need in this house. The location is very good for traveling around. Very comfortable.
We are a family and spend one week in this house in the end of November when it is cold. And we were not dissapointed. We have rented a car and each day we were visiting different villages or small cities around. Good that there's a supermarket close to the house.
Don't hesitate and choose this house for your holidays in Gran Alacant as the owner is also very helpful and nice. Very easy to communicate. And for summer time there's a swimming pool.
Pool area vegetation needs cutting back as couldn't use the sunbeds easily because of insects. If staying for 2 weeks there isn't enough wardrobe space as half of each wardrobe was locked. Otherwise we were happy with our stay.
Ideal spot for quite stay looks over nature reserve to rear and good choice of restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Property was clean and tidy and is very well kitted out, there are 4 Supermarkets all within 5 minutes walk to get your provisions and a great kitchen to knock up some culinary delights. If eating out the Patagoina Steak house is good value for money with excellent food, Bar Loco and The Pub are nice for a drink all are an easy walk. Only gripe was the 70 euro cleaning service you have to pay when leaving ,even if only staying 4 nights and if your wife is anything like mine she had cleaned the place daily. Overall a very nice place in a good area with amenities on your doorstep and close to airport if only doing a few days maybe cleaning rate should be adjusted to daily rate not set payment.
Villa muy tranquila, con todo lo necesario para un merecido descanso, totalmente recomendable, y la dueña una persona inmejorable pendiente de todo, muchas gracias
Gran Alacant is situated on the Costa Blanca, just south of the city of Alicante with it,s busy port and marina, and lovely beaches and city shopping.
Also about a ten minute drive from the villa is Santa Pola a lovely fishing town with more lovely beaches and a bustling newly built port area with numerous restaurants and bars, here you can also find trips to the island of Tarbarca, where you can snorkel and dive in the clear waters of a nature reserve. There is here also a Saturday market which is full of delicious local food, and also numerous other non food stalls. There are over 300 days of sunshine on the Costa Blanca and due to the salt lakes and marshes it has been designated a healthy place to live by the World Health Organisation. There are also six Golf courses within a 40 minute drive, the nearest being 15 minutes away.
