Notes:
This is the perfect setting for a couple wanting to relax. The property is in an estate of privately owned villas, no traffic, as it is in a cul-de-sac. Vau beach is just down the road from the estate. Guests have outdoor designated sunbathing areas, sun loungers and patios with outdoor furniture (table, chairs) - the salt water pool is available to guests (shared). Car not necessary - easy to walk to the beaches, the beautiful coastal cliffs, Praia da Rocha hub of shops, night life/Casino and down town Portimão. The area has numerous good restaurants. This is golf heaven and the apartments are great golf retreats (discount on golf). The gardens are attractive and appealing during the Spring and summer months. Activities Golf: Golf!Golf! Golf! lovely little hideaway

The property is lovely and only a short walk to town and the beech. We stayed in the east apartment which was perfect for us. It is very basic, but you don't need much more, there is a good size fridge which means you can buy in bulk if you are going to cater for yourself, there are loads of restaurants in the praia da rocha area, we recomemd all beef as a treat. The local market is a 30 minute walk and has excellent meat, vegtables, fruits, fesh fish breads and the custard tarts are pretty good , the best we had! The meat is excellent quality and tastes great on the BBQ which is provided by the property.

The welcome we received was friendly and Isabel and Greg had bought some items for us to save us going to the shops which was a lovely attentive touch, this was the only time we saw the owners as they had to go away when we were there so we were given free run. The pool area is a great sun trap and we spent most mornings there.

All in all a lovely trip and our first time to mainland Portugal and out first time self catering. Having tried it once, we would probably go to a hotel next time but thats our own personal choice preference and not a reflection on this property. The apartment is perfect get away for somebody looking for a good value self catering break in a quiet part of the Algarve.

Excellent value for money

The apartment was spotlessly clean,the various linens,towels etc were of best quality and the outdoor facilities and colourful garden all that could be desired.

The kitchen was tiny but the outdoor barbecue fully compensated for this.

Comfortable apartment, close to the beach!

My husband and I stayed at this property for a week and absolutely loved it! We were able to walk down to the gorgeous beach, Praia da Vau. It's centrally located in Portimao and a quick drive over to Alvor. Also only 45 minutes from Sagres. The apartment was clean, spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. We enjoyed reading outside by the pool. Would totally recommend staying here to anyone!

Thank you so much for your lovely apartment, it was so homey, and very comfortable felt like home from home but with sunshine !! Even when I cooked christmas dinner you had all the essentials to do this

The apartment was so near everything that you did not need a car and with bus stop outside so handy to go anywhere.

Your kindness with the carrot cake, orange juice and gingerbread men went down very well.

Would not hesitate to recommend your apartments to anyone

Home from home

We had a great week here and enjoyed our first ever trip to Portugal. The apartment east is homely, spotless and well maintained. The wi fi and TV with the UK channels all worked well. In particular, the owners very thoughtfully left a welcome pack which was perfect since we arrived late on a Saturday night and together with some tea, coffee and useful condiments we really felt that a lot of thought had gone into what people need for a week's stay. The kitchen and dining area were well equipped with everything we needed and we do like to cook! The courtyard table was a lovely place for eating breakfast or just enjoying a drink. The garden and pool areas were also lovely but unfortunately, the weather was not warm enough to swim. The area was quiet and easy to find our way around. Definitely a place for some warm winter sun!
