About the property

Sleeps 14. 6 Bedrooms. 4 Baths. Hot tub, Sauna, games room

This delightful, detached property sits in the village of Mynyddygarreg, two miles from Kidwelly in South Wales and makes the perfect holiday home for larger groups of friends and families. The main house has five bedrooms, including four with zip/link beds, which give the option of flexibility, being doubles or twins. There is also a mezzanine room with twin beds that can be zipped together to make a king-size double. This character room can be accessed via a wooden stairway from the utility room, or through one of the double bedrooms via a small, adjoining doorway. The door can be kept shut and locked to offer two separate bedrooms, or open to offer a further family room, ideal for families with a small child or two that they want nearby. The master bedroom has a king size double and a single bed and also, its own, very large en-suite bathroom with a separate shower. There is also a shared family bathroom and a ground floor WC for added convenience. With three more single beds on the first floor of the The May Annexe games room, just three yards from the house, as well as a shower room, this spacious holiday home really does provide ample accommodation for everyone! The dining room is perfect for gathering around and celebrating special occasions and also has a handy hatchway through from the kitchen, which is well-equipped for catering for large groups, or putting together picnics for days out and about exploring. After a couple of glasses of wine with dinner, retire to the spacious sitting room where you can relax and enjoy a snooze. The kitchen is next to the utility, which has a door leading onto the patio, where you will find the luxurious hot tub and sauna and access to The May, an annexe with a games room. In here is a pub-style pool table and dartboard, so competitive guests can set up a tournament, or you can simply relax with your feet up and watch some TV. Outside, the play area in the enclosed garden creates somewhere for the younger ones to run around and burn off any excess energy. There are two swings and a slide in the garden, plus a children’s play park a two-minute walk away! A five-minute walk away, the rugby club has a licensed bar on weekends and occasionally live music playing! With its thatched roof, The Masons Arms in Kidwelly is one of the oldest pubs in Wales and there are many other attractions to keep you occupied nearby, including the medieval Kidwelly Castle. Pack your walking boots and explore the Brecon Beacons, the Pembroke Coast National Park, or why not take a stroll through the popular seaside towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot? The Millennium Coastal Path is just a couple of miles away, perfect for walking or cycling and also just two miles away is the 10-mile sandy beach at Pembrey Country Park, where you'll find a host of attractions including horse riding and tobogganing. With so many wonderful things to discover in the area, The Croft is a great choice of holiday destination for exploring South Wales!

Excellent ...

Loved the house, there were 9 adults, 3 children and a dog, plenty of room for all of us, games room was ideal, so was the garden for the dog. Bedrooms were beautiful near to Burryport and Pembrey 5*. We all had a great time in the dining room in the evenings.

Absolutely perfect!

  • 5 of 5

The house was huge and wonderfully decorated throughout, with everything we needed and more! The whole group had such a nice time in the sauna and games room that we didn't even go sightseeing! The garden is huge and we were able to take our dog! Lynda the housekeeper made us an amazing cake as it was a birthday party. The booking process was a breeze too! Will be back! Xxx

Girls weekend away

  • 5 of 5

Had a fantastic weekend in the Croft!

Met by lovely staff on arrival who showed us around and how to use everything and we proceeded to have a great weekend.

The rooms were fab with plenty of bathrooms to go around. The communal areas were great spaces for everyone to get together with plenty of room while in the dining room/ in the living room or in the garden.

This is a great house with lots of facilities in rain or shine and I would definitely recommend this property for large groups!

Thank you :)

Girls weekend

  • 5 of 5

We have a brilliant time at the croft. On arrival we had a briefing of the house and how everything worked and we proceeded to have a lovely weekend. The rooms were great with a good amount of toilets/shower rooms and lovely big areas for everyone to eat/watch TV and be outside. I would definitely recommend this property for large groups!

Fab weekend!

Perfect for large groups with kids

  • 5 of 5

Laura, the owner, heard about our friend Natalia Spencer who is doing walking the entire coastline of Britain and wanted to help us. Infact she went out of her way to make our team weekend special. We were 6 kids and 6 adults and the house was perfectly sized to cope with this. The house is characterful and spacious with all mod cons. Everything is immaculately well presented and maintained.

We were met with open arms by Lynda the wonderful house keeper and offered lots of useful if useful info about the area.

If you need a big house for a weekend away, don't hesitate.

A very lovely house run by a very lovely couple.
