About the Owner

We visited Normandy in September 2005 just to view a few properties or so we thought. We viewed one property then arrived at this one to which we fell totally in love with. It was like going back in time to our youth. In early 2006 we moved here from Yorkshire with our family pets 2 ponies and a dog. The area is so peaceful, rural yet not too far to amenities.

The perfect holiday retreat.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful 5 days in this lovely holiday property.

The owners, Pauline and Phil, were exceptionally helpful and friendly, with lots of goodies when we arrived and constant support throughout our stay.

The flat is clean, pleasant and well-equipped, with everything you could possibly want.

There are lots of interesting places to visit and we had some lovely walks.

We would highly recommend this property and if we visit this area again would really hope that it was available.

Many thanks to Pauline and Phil.

Welcoming home from home in lovely rural location.

  • 5 of 5

Pauline & Phil are the most welcoming of hosts. The accommodation has been beautifully done and all the extra touches make for the most enjoyable and comfortable stay. Set in a rural location away from any hustle and bustle, yet close enough to areas of interest to be convenient.

You can just sit and relax with a beverage of your choice whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings and wildlife. Or just a short trip down the road to local towns of Ger or Mortain.

If you are in any doubt as to where to go and when? Then Phil and Pauline are only too happy to advise, which can prove invaluable.

We would definitely stay again. Thanks Pauline & Phil.

Peace and Tranquility in rural France

  • 5 of 5

On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Pauline and Phil and a cup of delicious tea. The apartment is spacious, very clean and tidy and there was a lovely welcome pack on the table, thank you for thinking of everything Pauline and Phil. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bathroom enormous with bath, shower and a brilliant towel heater. The dining area is just off the kitchen with the living area next to it and finally the bedroom with the most comfortable bed, we slept like logs every night. The gite is situated in a very small hamlet in the middle of nowhere- bliss. Perfectly situated Lower Normandy, local towns, villages and markets. This is the perfect location for a get away holiday, chilling out and destressing.

A gem of a place

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Le Grenier. Pauline and Phil were the perfect hosts from the moment we arrived. We felt most welcome and really appreciated the welcome pack provided as we arrived fairly late. The loft is very spacious (more than on the photos), clean and comfortable.
