The cottage comes complete with all the things you need for an enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Downstairs

Small entrance hall with coat hooks, shoe rack and large storage cupboard.

Open plan sitting/dining room with TV/DVD and Wifi.

The new contemporary design kitchen has an electric oven with gas hob and extractor, fridge with small freezer compartment, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and toaster.

The small garden is accessed from kitchen with steps leading up to patio area with garden table and chairs.

Upstairs

The twin bedroom is at the front of the property looking out onto the Sherborne Lane. It has a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table.

The double room has views overlooking the garden to the back of the property. It has a wardrobe, chest of drawers, two bedside tables.

The shower room has contemporary shower suite with sink, toilet and wall radiator.

Parking/Unloading

As the cottage is in a pedestrian lane the easiest way of unloading luggage is to park at the top of the lane and unload your bags. There is a small trolley in the hall cupboard to help with any heavy bags. To load bags back into your car when leaving, parking at the bottom of the lane is best!

We recommend parking in Holmbush carpark, a five minute walk from the cottage up Pound Street. Parking costs £2 per day.

Nearest Train : Axminster at 6 Miles Nearest Beach : Lyme Regis at 0.2 Miles Car: recommended

If you are looking to escape the busy pace of life then look no further than Lyme Regis and Bay Tree Cottage. It is an idyllic seaside town full of historic character, famous for its fossils, literary connections and beautiful surrounding countryside.

Be sure to take a walk along the famous "Cobb" featured in John Fowles' novel The French Lieutenant's Woman and Jane Austen's Persuasion. For some more history try the Town Mill with guided tours of the working mill. It is set in a charming courtyard where you can also visit the cheesemonger, brewery,potter, dressmaker and have afternoon tea or perhaps a beer and absorb the atmosphere.

Lyme Regis also prides itself in a lovely sandy beach as well as a long stretch of pebble beach with plenty of ice-cream parlours, tea shops and restaurants along the way to make it a perfect day on the beach for young and old.

Lyme is well known for its fossil finds on the beaches and cliffs which are part of the Jurassic Coast - a World Heritage Site so come and see what you can find!
