A Lovely Cottage

  • 4 of 5

At the beginning of September we had a week’s break in Kemble Cottage and found that, apart from one or two niggles, the cottage had everything we needed to enjoy our break and was ideally situated as a base to enjoy the surrounding area, including Bath. It was as described on the website, with the large four-poster bed great for a comfortable night’s sleep. It was also ideally situated for a quick walk into Bradford with all its amenities, shops, good restaurants and the train station. The walk back to the cottage took a lot longer, being uphill.

The niggles? Although there was a washing machine there was no dryer, so no way to dry clothing. The cottage has no back door or yard, so no facility there and in addition being summer the heating was not on, so no way of drying clothing on the radiators. Parking too was an issue, with the cottage being on a steep, narrow lane where most of the properties had to park on the road. Although we never failed to park on the road, sometimes it was touch and go as to whether the car fitted the remaining space and quite often it was some distance away from the cottage.

A lovely quaint cottage

We had three nights at Kemble Cottage, it was a very sweet place with a abundance of character.

The owners had provided everything you needed for your stay, plus extras to make it feel a nice treat.

Would recommend to friends and family

Stunning find!

  • 5 of 5

The photos & description of this lovely cottage were excellent & so accurate. We arrived to find everything even more blissful than we had been led to believe. I can't recommend this little jewel highly enough. Tucked away on a little side street in the centre of town yet far from the bustle & noise of people & traffic. The cottage is easy to access from all sides of town. Bath & the north surrounding countryside are so close without having to go through the centre of Bradford to get there. One small 'hic', but not enough to detract from a five star rating, is that the cottage is on a steep ish hill which is fairly narrow in parts with a raised pavement outside.

The cottage is furnished to a very high, comfortable standard with all that you need for your stay. It's a quick & easy walk down hill to the pretty town centre where there are many quality shops, pubs & restaurants.

It was a great stay. Thank you Joanne....

Great Place To Stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had had a very enjoyable stay at Kemble Cottage. Lovely layout throughout the cottage and well maintained. Good information given by the owners like things to do, places to visit and how to look after the place while you're there as well as the history of the cottage was a nice touch.

Lovely Holiday Cottage for a family stay

  • 5 of 5

The property was beautifully kept and maintained, they catered for small children with a travel cot and high chair supplied to save the extra baggage.

It was on a quiet road within 5 minutes walk to the main town centre and 10 minutes to the train station.

It was a lovely location for being able to travel to other areas including Bath whilst having a quiet area to go back to with a small child.
