Fantastic views, in a beautiful Amalfi town
Check in was smooth and communication before we left home and in italy was all spot on.
The villa is as good as it looks in the pictures, clean, relatively basic but with a brilliant view of the Amalfi Coast and Positano. One down side war that whilst we were there, there was some building work at a building connected to this one which led to banging, but it was quite light and very Italian in that it seemed to be for very short periods of time during the day before the workmen went home.
The bathroom is small but clean and the kitchen had everything you could need to self cater.
The bed is reasonable but typically firm as you find in the Continent and the air con unit in the bedroom was a little weak and damp smelling so we just used the kitchen one.
The main reason to book the apartment is for thr View, which you get from the bed itself which is a fantastic thing to wake up to in the morning. Outside there is a basic table and chairs under some shade and a grassy area with sun loungers. We stopped using them as unfortunately the mosquitos like the grass and ate me alive but I'm sure with some repellant you'd be fine.
There are stairs! Be warned if you are not reasonably fit and able bodied I'd look elsewhere (to be fair if skip most of the Amalfi Coast as its known for steps and steep roads) as there are steps from both routes to the apartment.
They get easier the longer you're there, but do persevere and see Praiano as it's so much more enjoyable than Positano which is just too crowded most of the summer. Walk down past the church and you'll find a great cocktail bar in the way to a small inlet where you can get a water taxi to other nearby coves or a day trip to Capri.
We hired a car as we had an onward trip but you don't really need one as I'd water taxi it by choice or bus if you're looking to save money. There is free parking above the villa on a road higher up the hill which takes around 5 minutes to walk to. Don't get a parking ticket like we did being in the yellow spaces nearer the apartment .
Overall I'd highly recommend the area and the apartment as it was really well priced for the view you get. To improve it I'd fix the bedroom aircon, change the chest of drawers which smelt of damp and ditch the grass on the terrace but if happily go back.
