Great house - and it didn't even rain!

Lovely house for a group stay, especially if a large kitchen, big table and patio doors out to the garden is what you want. Plenty of buses in and out to town if the walk becomes a struggle and you get so much more space being a little up the hill. There is a good sized CO OP at the end of the road which is open all hours. Would highly recommend.

Very spacious house for a large family.

We shared the house with two of our daughters and their families. There was ample space for 5 adults, 4 children and a baby ( we took our own cot). The driveway is big enough for two cars but it is steep and you have to be careful not to scrape the bottom of your car as you start to go up the hill. After the first day we unloaded before driving the car up the drive. There is also room on the road to park a third car at the bottom of the drive. The road leading up to the house is an unadopted road with lots of very large holes so drive slowly and carefully. The garden is very private with high trees and shrubs on all sides. There is room in the garden to play but it is on a hill with steps going up to the lawn and you need to be careful with small children. There is a bit of a boggy area at the top of the garden, I'm not sure whether it was a pond once that they now use to put grass cuttings in with some ladders as a bit of a barrier. There is a house keeper on call if you need assistance and you can get bed linen and towels from her at reasonable charges. It is about 15 minutes walk to the beach down hill. A bus runs from the bottom of the hill back to the firestation, which is close to the house - £1 for adults and 50p for children. If you choose to walk back it is a long way if you have got children and carrying bags but the bus ride is a nice end to the day and gives lovely views of St' Ives on the way. The owners of the house and the house keeper were very pleasant and helpful and we had a lovely holiday. St. Ives is so beautiful that we did not feel the need to go anywhere else but just enjoyed the lovely town and beaches all week.

Lovely property, clean, great location, would recommend !

The property was lovely, a decent size for 9 of us and kept very clean. The back graden was also a good size allowing the kids to play outside when we were in the house. The driveway was a little steep to park our 9 seater van on but it wasn't a problem as we just parked across the front of the property (saving the space with the wheely bin). The location was great, we walked into St Ives every evening which takes about 15mins. Overall a lovely property and would definitely stay there again, we have no complaints whatsoever.

Good sized property, comfortable beds, plenty of facilities.

We've had a lovely stay in Bella Vista in st Ives, however I think the house needs a little attention. The floors are very noisy and with children and a baby in the house it was very noticeable. The garden pond needs filling in as our 4 year old didn't know it was there and fell in! As it's covered in reeds and very muddy he didn't think it was a pond. He was fine just very dirty. The house overall is nice and spacious and warm.

Owner's Response: Hi Helen, thanks so much for the review - it is such a spacious house (not the norm in letting properties but it was our home for 24years):-) the top corner of the garden was a pond 10 years ago, as the liner punctured and we left this to remain a 'boggy' wildlife area which the wildlife and frogs love as it is full of moss and reeds (we have detailed this clearly in the house handbook) but is no danger other than getting muddy if we've had rain. my very best Jakki

Lovely family house

Lovely roomy property with all essentials there. Lovely small garden with a patio area which catches the sun. A BBQ would have been ideal; we bought disposable ones.

Very steep drive which only 1 of us could use due to nearly loosing a front bumper!

Bright and airy house which we all loved. There were 4 adults & 5 kids and plenty of space for us all. Would highly recommend. Excellent value for money.
