This previous artist studio has undergone a sympathetic renovation of the highest standard, and is available to rent from the 4th July 2015. The property provides open plan living with amazing light provided by 3 great sky lights in the sunny sitting area. Guests can chat while dinner is prepared in the well equipped kitchen with its central island. The dinning table is illuminated by industrial mode lighting.

The property boasts 3 double bedrooms, the master bedroom has ensuite shower room. The main bathroom has a free standing bath and separate walk in shower.

The studio is located in the heart of Downalong the old fishermen's quarter in an area that is almost traffic free. St Ives four beaches are on its doorstep, there are no hills to climb, the town with its shops, restaurants and art gallery's are a few minutes walk away. The property comes with a parking space which offers guests the freedom to further explore the surrounding coastline without having to worry about securing parking on their return.

About the Owner

We as a family have spent our holidays in St Ives for the past 40 years. The family has changed somewhat in its configuration grandchildren are now exploring the area and taking up the families love of surfing. The journey originally took 13 hours from our home in the Midlands thank goodness a move to Bristol some 20 years ago now means a journey time of 3 hours.

We look on St Ives as our second home a place where we can completely relax a welcome haven after our busy working lives, me from my work with the probation service and my husband as the brains behind our small development company.

We are old hands at providing memorable holidays in St Ives with previous properties proving very popular.

Experience everything St Ives has to offer

We had a great holiday at the Sail Loft Studio. It is bigger than it looks on the photos and there is plenty of natural light, so it feels like you are out in the open. The wooden floors and the blue-themed décor are smooth, stylish, warm and comfortable, and the kitchen area is beautifully fitted and equipped. All three bedrooms are of a decent size and the main bedroom with its en-suite is really nice.

The shared bathroom is very well-appointed too and, importantly, the showers are good. You are moments away from the harbour and right in the centre of St. Ives, so it’s a short walk to all the beaches and everything the town has to offer.

It was immaculately clean throughout and the owner, Ina, was really helpful and responsive.

There is no washing machine, but with a bit of planning, that’s no real issue; and no broadband / WiFi, which would be useful. But there are hotspots you can pick up nearby. Getting in and out with the car also takes a bit of planning, so come prepared to negotiate narrow streets and to unload promptly. But that's all par for the course in St Ives, this is a great and luxurious place from which to experience the town and all of its charms.

More than a home from home

Fabulous accommodation, ideally situated for beaches cafes restaurants etc, access a bit dodgy and perhaps a small washer dryer is missing as you have no way of drying wet beach towels and swimwear, we have stayed in lots of holiday homes over the years but this is by far one of if not the best will definitely remember this property for next year and look forward to staying again
