BRAUNTON HILLIS OVERVIEW

Lovingly decorated throughout, this beautiful home has a welcoming atmosphere, ideally located in the vibrant bustling village of Braunton. Braunton is a charming, lively village full of independent shops, cafes and delis, as well as being just minutes away from the fantastic beaches of Saunton, Croyde, Putsborough and Woolacombe. 4 bedrooms sleep 8, and there is a large private garden with decking, gas BBQ and delightful country views. WiFi internet access is included.

If you enjoy cycling or walking, the renowned Tarka trail can be accessed from the village and this follows the Taw and Torridge estuaries. The ideal base for dog walkers and ramblers, this home from home is perfect for families, groups of friends and weekend surf breaks.

Please note that from July onwards till the end of August we only take Friday to Friday bookings.

And from the 12th December it is a minimum of a three night stay.

LIVING AREAS

The living room/conservatory is open plan with dining area and kitchen. The living room has an extra large sofa, 2 arm chairs and 2 foot stalls,1 foot stall being extra large, seating 8 people comfortably.

Feature log burner (Not in use)

This room has a sky lantern and 2 sets of french doors plus glass panels, looking out over the garden and the lovely views beyond.You can gain access onto the decking through any of the sets of french doors. Home entertainment features include a flatscreen TV, Wii console with games, iPod dock, surround sound with DVD player, DVD selection and inclusive WiFi internet access.

The dining area is open plan with the sitting room, with a large table, and enough seating for 8 people in total.

KITCHEN

From the kitchen you can look out to the dining area and sitting room, and out to the garden, a lovely sociable space. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with a fridge, separate freezer, double oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, as well as a good selection of pots, pans, cutlery, cooking utensils and crockery (including children’s).

A wash room/utility contains a washing machine and tumble dryer.

BEDROOMS

Bedroom 1: King size bedroom with a very large wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets, plus a flat screen TV.

Bedroom 2: Double bedroom with a large chest of drawers, bedside cabinets,large flat screen TV. French doors leading out onto a large decking area, enjoying stunning views

Bedroom 3: Twin bedroom with a wardrobe with drawer underneath and a large flat screen TV, with build in DVD player.

Bedroom 4: Twin bedroom,This room has an en suite shower room. Furniture includes a large chest of drawers and a large flat screen TV and bedside cabinets.

BATHROOMS

Bathroom 1: Main family bathroom with free standing bath, shower cubicle, hand basin and WC.

Bathroom 2: En suite shower room to Bedroom 4, with large shower enclosure.

OUTDOORS

BRAUNTON HILLIS has private front and rear enclosed gardens. There is a very large elevated area above the lawn looking out to lovely views in the distance. Enjoy summer days outside, relax on sunloungers, dine al fresco with the gas BBQ provided.

There is enclosed off-street parking for 2 cars a 3rd car can be parked across the front when the gates are closed.

Lovely, well presented property big enough to accommodate a family gathering without feeling cramped.

Lovely Summer Stay

I stayed here with my family and our dog at the end of the July. The home is well looked after and furnished to a high standard, we really enjoyed staying here. The reason I have given this 4 stars and not 5 is because it didn't always feel like "home". There seem to be quite a few locks on things - storage chest, log burner, summer house etc. Also it was missing tea/coffee, Cooking oil, oven gloves - things that have been provided on other HomeAway stays. Despite this we still loved the house. Thank you for letting us stay.

A beautifully presented property and ideal for a large family holiday with our dogs

The house is very well maintained with beautiful decor and has lovely views across the valley to the Church, with all the amenities you require a 5 min stroll in Braunton, with ample choice of restaurants and take aways for all the family's tastes. We loved walking on Staunton Sands and the burrows with the dogs and visiting old favourites of Croyde, Woolacombe and Ilfracombe

Lovely property in a fantastic location!

Had a lovely 2 night break in Braunton with some of the family. Great location near many beautiful beaches! If you visit you must go to Squires fish and chips shop in braunton only a 5 minute walk from the house as the food is lovely!! The bungalow was perfect for what we required and as we were extremely lucky with the weather we sat out on the balcony in the sun which was great! Would love to visit again. Thanks for having us Louise, definitely recommend!

Gorgeous property inside and out in a great location for exploring

What a lovely home and location for my wife's 50th birthday celebrations with our 3 daughters and their partners. The house is well equipped, homely and we felt very comfortable for the whole weekend. Our visiting Chef, Morganne Goodman (www.mogcoginio.com) found the kitchen range ideal for producing a truly sumptuous meal on Friday evening. Great garden where our middle daughter put the rest of the girls through their paces in a Pilates session! The fluffy ginger cat visitor was a welcome friendly cute visitor. Great base for exploring the coastline local villages and cycling the Tarka Trail with the good weather a real bonus. Great communication with Louise the Owner as well before and during our stay.

Braunton is a favourite North Devon destination for families and surfers all year round. Church view is a short walk of 5 mins into the friendly picturesque centre of Braunton. Barnstaple market town is a fifteen minute car ride away or hop on the bus that runs every 10 minutes.

Church view is Children and dog friendly with lots of space to play.

You have an awesome choice of beeches less than 10 minutes away. Saunton Sands is a three mile golden sandy beach. The beach is ideal for windsurfing and kite flying, backed by miles of sand dunes which lead to Braunton Burrows.

Croyde Bay is a gorgeous sandy beach which has life guards, rock pools and Great surf. Croyde village has several Pubs/Restaurants, surf shops selling Wetsuits, Boards and Clothes and a village Post Office. National Trust owned coastline includes Baggy Point which is an ideal and unique climbing spot which boasts of stunning views to Lundy Island. If Walking is more your thing the coastal paths will take you along the golden coastline.

Putsborough Beach has a long golden beach which welcomes dogs all summer - and meets up with Woolacombe Sands.

Exmoor national park is situated half an hours drive from Braunton, which boasts stunning views and wildlife in their natural habitat.
