The Blacksmith's Shop.

Overview

Property

Updated: 09-Dec-2016
Self catering for 2 people with off road parking & garden.

The cosy, quirky accommodation is a converted Smithy dating back to the 1700s, with open planned living downstairs & a mezzanine in the roof space for sleeping. Off road parking & a garden are outside.

The kitchen area has a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer & oven with touch control hob.

The dining/lounge adjoins, with 2 bars stools at the old work bench overlooking the valley - ideal for breakfast or a glass of wine, or both!

Up the stairs to the mezzanine where you can find the double bed to the right, & relaxed beanbags to the left where you can recline & watch a second TV. The mezzanine enjoys views across the valley also. (Please note the reduced head height in the mezzanine - it is not suitable for the elderly or disabled).

The garden has a picnic table where you can sit & enjoy the surroundings & view across the valley to St Endellion Church.

The property is located on a network of local footpaths & is a 10 minute walk from the village of Port Isaac, home of Martin Clunes hit TV series Doc Martin.

Please note we do not offer short breaks in Summer months. Week long bookings have a FRIDAY changeover.

Check in is from 3pm.

Check out is at 10am.

Great location, perfect for a couple!

A truely relaxing escape away from everything! We enjoyed 4 nights in this beautiful cottage and had everything we needed. 20 mins walk from Port Issac which in itself is beautiful. The cottage was very well equipped and perfect for a romantic getaway! Just mind your heads upstairs 😊

Absolutely brilliant

  • 5 of 5

We had a very relaxing and extremely enjoyable break. The Blacksmiths cottage was absolutely lovely. It was renovated to a very high standard. There was everything you could possibly need and more in the cottage, the bottle of Prosseco that was there on arrival was a wonderful treat. We will definately be going back and we can recommend it to anyone. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and with easy access to Port Issac, what more could you ask for. Brilliant.

What a lovely holiday nest!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 4 days. We really loved the cottage it was clean and modern. It had everything we needed. We took our 6 month old golden retriever with us and she made herself at home too!

Only 1 bad point, the shower! There is a sign saying its 'slow to drain' and it sure was slow so having a shower wasn't the most brilliant experience as you have to spend a long time getting cold waiting for the water to drain so it doesn't flood the bathroom! BUT other than that it was perfect!

Just outside Port Isaac itself but a short walk down into the village. Lovely views from the roof Windows. About 20 mins drive from the nearest big supermarket (wadebridge) but there is a small co op in the village Port Issac!

It really was a lovely retreat to come back to after a day out in the beautiful Cornwall! We had lovely weather and sat out in the garden for a couple evenings which was lovely!

If you are after a cosy hideaway for a break away from real life this is it.
