The prefect escape, stylish yet family friendly 5 bedroom villa with large pool

Originally built in 1925 and fully refurbished in 2014 whilst retaining its original character, this beautiful farm house is spacious, comfortable and very private.

Set in an idyllic, peaceful, rural location 5 minutes from the town of Loule, a thriving traditional Portuguese town with a daily market, cafes, bars and shops. Also within a 15 minute drive of the best beaches and golf courses on the Algarve and 20 minutes drive from Faro airport. We highly recommend hiring a car due to the rural location of the house.

A bright and airy kitchen leads to outside dining/pool area with outdoor fireplace perfect for long summer evenings. The kitchen also adjoins the open plan indoor dining/lounge area with 12 seat dining table, sofas and large wood burning stove for cooler evenings in the autumn and spring.

Features 5 bedrooms with air conditioning, 4 of which have ensuite bathrooms with heated floors.

Master Bedroom - Super king four poster with ensuite bath, walk in shower and double sinks. Large sliding doors lead to pool area. This room adjoins bedroom 3 making it the perfect family suite.

Bedroom 1 - Queen size bed and ensuite shower room. This room adjoins the lounge area and features french doors on to the front patio with views of the original archway entrance and front lawn.

Bedroom 2 - 2 Twin Beds with ensuite shower room, off the hallway leading from the lounge near bedroom 1. Quiet and cosy with window facing the front patio and lawn.

Bedroom 3 - Very large room with two double beds and ensuite shower room. This bedroom adjoins the master.

Loft room - Single childs bed and sleeping platform with double mattress. This room is suitable only for older children, teenagers and adults. Accessed from a small staircase leading to the roof terrace.

Separate W/C with washbasin in hallway near loft room.

Spacious, enclosed tiled pool area with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. The pool is heated for a separate charge and measures 10m x 5m with a large shallow end.

The Property is surrounded by an acre and half of land, with a grassy lawn area to the front and trees to the rear and fenced perimeter.

Family friendly with cot and high chair available. Plenty of toys, books and games for to keep younger travelers entertained.

Wifi broadband included. TV and DVD player with DVD library.

Large Continente Supermarket within 5 minute drive.

Lovely villa in very quiet area.

We stayed here as a party of 11, three families. The villa is very spacious and can comfortably accommodate this size of group, without feeling on top of each other. It is very rustic but does have the mod cons you would expect for example dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier.

I would agree with the previous review, I think a deep clean would be beneficial, however appreciate the location of the property leads to increase in small beasties and spiders.

There is a large presence of wasps around the pool, but once our younger ones became accustomed to them they were fine, if you leave them alone they leave you alone.

We did not intend hiring a car but on the second day we did. The local taxis found it very difficult to find the villa (although once you know it is actually very easy to find) and a single taxi journey which should have cost 5euros turned into 16 as the driver drove around for ages.

You can walk into loule which we did, but would not recommend at night due to the quiet road. Loule is retry and very reasonable.

The villa is also within easy reach of the aqua park and go karts, which I would also recommend, and vilamoura, although vilamoura can be expensive.

Linda and mike were very helpful and easy to contact.

This villa is ideal for groups looking to get away from it all but close enough to reach by car. I would use again.

Lovely spacious villa

The house is amazingly spacious and great for large families. The pool is a hit and the house contains everything you could possibly need for children.

The house itself gets a 5 star rating however the lack of attention to detail in terms of housekeeping especially the kitchen, thick dust and cobwebs leave me no choice but to lower the rating.

Otherwise a very beautiful home.

home away from home

9 of us stayed at the villa including a 4 month old baby. Everything we needed was there and more. The younger people in our party did not leave the pool. The villa is located in a quiet area but within easy distance of beautiful beaches and a water park. We had an excellent week and would definitely stay again. Linda and Mick were very pleasant and helpful

Amazing Villa

This is by far the best villa we have ever stayed in. Everything we could have wished for was provided. We are a family of 12 and the accommodation was just perfect. In a quiet rural area but 5 minutes from supermarket and only 15 minutes to beaches and resorts if you need them. The website is very accurate - if anything, understated. Mike and Linda were most helpful and always there if needed. It was great to have an excellent TV/ music system (especially as the Olympics were on during our first week!). We would love to return to Villa Andorinha and highly recommend it.

Stunning, well equipped, peaceful villa

We have stayed at this beautiful villa a number of times now and absolutely love it. Close to Faro airport and Loule town yet rural enough to enjoy complete peace and tranquility. The villa itself is beautiful inside and out, very well decorated with everything you could possibly require. The outside pool area is stunning and days can just drift by relaxing in the sunshine. If you feel like exploring there are wonderful beaches within a 15 mins drive and the luxury resorts of Vale de Lobo and Quinta do Lago are close by too. There are great waterparks close by for the kids as well. A truly beautiful villa and we look forward to visiting again very soon.

Beautiful, peaceful and convenient

This villa was as wonderful as the pictures depicted it to be and incredibly convenient to get to from the airport. Beautifuy decorated and sparklingly clean inside and out with a lovely, large pool it was the perfect spot to relax in. There's lots to see and do in the surrounding area and the beaches are all in easy reach of the property, as is the supermarket and local food markets. We feel lucky to have discovered it and we are already excited about booking it again for next year and taking more friends with us too!
