The Barn is ideally located for cyclists and walkers, and for the perfect peaceful get away, there is a private garden which is enclosed together with storage for bicycles. The property is pet friendly.

For cyclists Lockwood Barn is ideally situated close to the 'Moor to sea Cycle Network' which connect Scarborough, Whitby, Dalby Forest , Pickering and Great Ayton in a stunning series of moorland, forest & coastal loops.

The historic market towns of Kirbymoorside, Helmsley, Pickering & Malton are easily reached, for all local amenities, including places to eat out. Places of interest including Nunnington Hall, the museum of rural life at Hutton-le-Hole & Castle Howard are on the doorstep to Lockwood Barn.

Travel across the Moors to Whitby and along the coastal route to Scarborough for a family day out along the breath taking coast.

Spacious, peaceful and secluded

Beautifully converted barn with lovely comfortable open plan living space and wood burning stove. Well off the beaten track and delightfully quiet. No wifi and very limited phone coverage. Ideal to get away from the modern world for a few days.

Lovely little barn conversion. Very clean and cosy with all modern conveniences and situated in a quiet location. I would certainly book this accommodation again if I return to the area for another holiday.
