About the property

Beautiful 3-bedroom, 2-floor apartment, Tenby Harbour, 50 mtrs to nearest beach

This classy, large, split-level apartment is in the perfect location for enjoying Tenby harbour, the walled town, and the vast array of stunning beaches. Step out the door, turn left, and you are 1 minute from the Harbour, turn right and you're a minute from the shops, go straight ahead and you drop down to Castle Beach and the iconic St Catherine's Island. The apartment has a large lounge and lovely kitchen-dining area, and the best spot in the house is the bay-window with seating where you can sit and watch the world go by on the Harbour, Castle Hill, and in the street below. There are 2 good-sized double bedrooms on the top floor, and a 'designer' bathroom with separate shower and free-standing bath with feature-lighting. The 3rd bedroom is a single room with a wrought iron bunk bed, on the same floor as the kitchen/lounge. The lounge has a blue enamel stove which can be lit on chillier evenings. On the half-landing is the cloakroom and storage area for coats etc. Throughout there is original art-work or examples of local décor that can be purchased in the independent gift shops in town. There is a travel cot and highchair at the property for extra little-ones so the place sleeps 6 + infants. The proximity of our little pub next door is a clear benefit, as you can chill in the beer-garden and enjoy the café-culture, or pick up a seafood-combo to take back to the apartment. The property is too close to the Harbour to offer parking, but there is room to pull-up outside to unload guests and luggage. We can help you obtain a 'passport parking permit' for the nearest council-owned car-park (which is also transferable to any other county council car parks throughout Pembrokeshire to make those fun day-trips easier for you), at a cost of approx £25 for the week.

If you like the sound of this property, you may also like our others - China Cottage (sleeps 7 & infant) ref 8165260; no4 Queens Parade (sleeps 7 & infant, garden & permit parking) ref 8162357; no1 Albert View (sleeps 4 & infant) ref 8165786 - all in or around the town centre and every one close to the beach. And No1 Albert View and No2 Albert View can be rented together to accommodate a party of 10.

About Julie Jones, owner of TENBY TOWN COTTAGES

TENBY TOWN COTTAGES is a family-run business with over 15 years' experience of letting our own houses & cottages in Tenby. We also own popular foodie-pubs in Tenby, a brand new brewery & tap-room called Harbwr Brewery, and a little giftshop/bookshop; so showing Tenby and its gorgeous offerings at their very best are at the heart of what we do. We love Tenby, and make it our business to make sure you will too.

We try to answer every query within 24 hours, but because of our numerous other business commitments it is not always possible to do so. If you have not heard directly from us (as opposed to an automated message from OD) within 24 hours, please feel free to follow up your enquiry by text or phone call. Thanks

Why Julie Jones, owner of TENBY TOWN COTTAGES chose Tenby

This property is immaculate and everything has been very carefully chosen to make it as comfortable and homely as can be - with old features being mixed with cool modern furniture. It has views of both the Harbour and Castle Hill from the lounge bay-window, which also serves as an excellent place to sit and people-watch those meandering in the street below. It is so central that family members will be able to just come & go as they please - pop to the shops, or nip back up from the beach for a nap or for those little things you forgot.

We love this property so much that we even holiday there at times, and we only live 5 minutes away in Penally!!

What makes this apartment unique

The direct access to the beaches and proximity to cool pubs and restaurants make this one of the best locations in town. As well as the cool interiors, the window seat, and its great aspects, is something special - and the bathroom is pretty lovely too.

You could rent this apartment together with the ground-floor apartment, No1 Albert View, thus accommodating 10 or more guests and taking over the whole house.

This property is one of 4 in our portfolio - it can be let with the stunning down-stairs apartment No 1 Albert View (subject to availablilty) for a large family group of 10 +infants. With the harbour on your doorstep, and kilometers of sandy beaches there is plenty to do - watersports, diving, fishing trips, or simple runs across the beach. Spa facilities (& a great lunch!) are available at the rather lovely St Brides Hotel in nearby Saundersfoot. There will be a full list of things to do and places to go at the property.

The best cottage we have ever stayed in!

  • 5 of 5

We initially booked for 7 nights but then when we saw there were rail engineering works affecting both journeys, the owner Julie very flexibly added a night on at each end to make the stay 9 nights. Getting the keys is very simple, you collect from the pub right next door (don't worry - no noise issues), with the added benefit that you get a discount on the excellent food here and at The Buccaneer around the corner. As soon as you walk into this beautiful cottage, you're struck by how tastefully decorated it is with loads of lovely personal touches which really make it feel like home. Then, you find a welcome basket waiting for you with local goodies and the British essential of teabags. We're so used to having to immediately go out and buy all the essentials of cleaning products, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing powder etc... but everything was under the sink which was a massive bonus for us. Milk and juice were in the fridge, there was a loaf of bread, it was simply a 5-star welcome and head & shoulders above anything we have ever experienced before. Having dogs welcome was a necessity for us, and there is a courtyard garden at the back which is very handy for late-night dog demands to meet personal needs! We quite simply could not fault the accommodation; just perfect. While we were there the downstairs flat was being refurbished, and indicative of how much customer care Julie & Mike provide, a lovely bouquet of flowers and bottle of fizz appeared one day by means of compensation (not needed but gratefully received!). Tenby itself is a beautiful town and Albert View is perfectly located in the Georgian / Victorian historic centre just above the harbour. The dog beach ban for North and Castle Beaches kicked in while we were there on 1st May, but they are welcome year-round on the huge South Beach so this was no impediment to canine enjoyment. On a nice day (which luckily was every day for us), the South Beach Bar & Grill does good food with a cracking beachfront location and is dog friendly inside & out. Not driving, our only excursion was to Caldey Island which was very nice with a beautiful unspoiled sandy beach... recommended. We wanted to visit St Catherine's Island too (accessible at low tide from Castle Beach), but even though their own website said they'd be open at low tide over the May Bank Holiday weekend, they weren't. We loved 2 Albert View and Tenby so much that we've already booked again! THANK YOU Julie & Mike

Lovely apartment in a great location.

  • 5 of 5

Great apartment in a great location and also with a sea view. We were also greeted with a bottle of local brewery beer and fresh fruit. What more could you ask for. Julie was really helpful from booking through to completion of our stay. This was our granddaughters first holiday and we had a great time. The apartment is bigger than the photos suggest. There were five adults and a baby for our stay and we had no problems at all. The apartment is well decorated and furnished and in warmer weather it has a lovely enclosed rear patio area with seating. We are already considering a return in the near future.

Lovely apartment, brilliant location.

  • 5 of 5

2 Albert View is a great apartment, beautifully decorated and well appointed. Plenty of space to relax, located so close to the harbour and Castle Beach, ideal for us and our two boys. We walked everywhere and only left Tenby once to go to the Dinosaur Park. Great food next door in the Hope & Anchor too.

We hope to return again soon!

Excellent Pad in great location.

  • 5 of 5

It rained a fair bit in Tenby when we were there but staying in was fine in such a lovely pad. All the basics in place and more. We can be very demanding and fussy in our family but we all Loved this place. Top marks to the owners.

Beautiful house in a great location

  • 5 of 5

A really well equipped and comfortable house right in the heart of Tenby. The location is excellent for the beach, local pubs & restaurants and the fresh fish shop just down the road! The house itself was really clean and elegant. We would definitely visit again if in the area. Thanks Julie!

Car: recommended

No2 Albert View is a stylish, newly renovated, large maisonette situated next door to our pretty foodie 'fisherman's' pub, The Hope & Anchor Inn. The 2-floor apartment is gorgeous, and serves as a perfect base for exploring the area. We wouldn't be surprised if you didn't use the car all week - you can walk up Castle Hill to see the property's name-sake Prince Albert & climb on the cannons, scramble up the steps to St Catherine's Fort, dig barricades on Harbour beach to beat the tide, go for fish & chips at Fecci's, visit the amusement arcades for some nostalgia, go crabbing over the Harbour sluice, get a huge breakfast at Dennis Café on Castle Beach - and these are ALL within 250 metres of your front door.

Don't be put off by the proximity of the pub - it is a 'locals' pubs and a community institution! Perfect for the lazy chefs, you can make this your second kitchen & dine out by the cozy fire or order take-outs of great local seafood & home-cooked family meals. In the summer months there is a lovely cosmopolitan café-culture feel to this area, with no cars allowed, which makes it safe to wander and eat al fresco at the numerous cafés and bars.

Further afield, you will find all sorts of award-winning local attractions - the best of which is the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, and plenty of stunning beaches, not to mention the more man-made attractions such as Folly Farm, Heatherton World of Activity, Manor House Wildlife Park, & Oakwood Theme Park.
