About the property

5 bedroom, 2 bathroom and private pool with sea and mountainview

The villa is ideally located for those who love the sea but also like the peace and nature in the mountains. You have plenty of privacy and comfort, complete privacy from neighbors, housekeeper or owner. The spacious finca stands alone on a private property of 10,000 sqm. However, the property is easily accessible. Alicante airport (where you can very easily rent a car) is only a half hour drive. The house has a large parking. The house is surrounded by terraces and a beautiful subtropical garden. Around the pool there is a terrace, partly covered. In addition to an outdoor shower you can use a bathroom with toilet, directly accessible to those who stay outside. Through an antique door you come into a spacious hall beneath the typical Valencian turret. When you go right you find three bedrooms and a second bathroom with toilet. If you go left, a few steps, you get into the spacious living room. Thanks to the double windows to the floor it is bright and airy. A few steps higher there is a platform with a table that connects to a spacious, fully equipped kitchen. Furthermore you can find at the highest level a storage room and the fourth bedroom. All windows in the house are fitted with fly screens that keep those pesky insects out. All windows have also roller shutters so it stays nice and cool inside during the day and you can sleep in the dark if you want. The house is situated in the beautiful countryside between Jijona (Xixona in Valencian) and Tibi. You reach the house along a winding but well maintained road in the green valley of the river Monnegre. In the typical Spanish town of Jijona (5 km) you can find all the amenities: supermarkets, bakery, butcher, bank, post office, restaurants, bars, .... Jijona in Spain is well known for the production of Turron (Spanish nougat). A visit to the Museum del Torro about the history of the Turronproduction in the region, is well worth a visit. Would you like to swim in an Olympic swimming pool or the kids likes to enjoy in a larger children pool, we can recommend the lovely public pool. On the way to El Campello you can visit the Cova del Canelobre (caves). In Tibi (6 km) you can experience a typical local market every Saturday morning . Hikers can join the marked trailsin in Tibi or Jijona . Whether you stipple out your own route to the nearby lake of Tibi, which is just over the hill to our house. It is no coincidence that many professional cycling teams choose Alicante as a location for their winter and spring training. They do not just come for the sunny climate but also for the great bike roads in the area with mountain and flat stages. On the terrace of our house you have views to the popular resort of El Campello about 20 kilometers away. This place is a lot smaller than the nearby Alicante, but thanks to its beautiful beaches, charming boulevard with shops and restaurants, the clean air and Mediterranean cuisine it is very popular among Spanish and foreign tourists. Enjoy all that the Costa Blanca has to offer! But also the city of Alicante is certainly worth a trip. There you can combine the beach with cozy beach pavilions with a beautiful historic center, a castle (accessible by elevator) and modern shopping streets. Everything on walking distance. You can feel the history of the province of Alicante on the Ruta de los Castillos (Castle route). Also in the interior land near Benidorm you find Guadelest, a popular Spanish mountain village with shops, a castle and a fascinating museum. A little further but still easily accessible by car you can reach the popular resorts of Benidorm (50 km), Calpe (68 km), Torrevieja (90 km) or Denia (95 km). For those looking for culture or history: Murcia (100 km), Valencia (140 km) and Cartagena (140 km) is still reachable.

We are Frederik and Isabelle from Assenede. We both have 2 children. I work as a town officer in Assenede. Isabelle is a physiotherapist and has a private practice. After several years of positive experience with the rental of a holiday in Portugal we decided to buy a second home in Spain. Due to the short distance to the coast and the airport and the best climate in Europe we arrived in Jijona Alicante. Book and enjoy!

Paradise in mountains

Nice villa in beautiful surroundings , a perfect quiet get a way spot.

We loved our stay in Frederiks villa our 2 children loved the pool

(which was getting heating the week after we left ! not that cold anyway

on hot days)

The villa is situated in a valley on the side of a mountain in the most peaceful and

tranquil part of Spain i have ever been in.

The whole area is quiet yet if you prefer the beach and waterparks are only 45 mins drive

and the motorway isn't far then its an easy drive to Alicante or Benidorm

I like my gardening so was pleased with the state of the garden and variety of plants

there so be ready for a few bees flying about but they don't bother you much.

We needed a quiet break and this is exactly what we got !
