About the property

3 bedroom 2 bathroom property. Beaches nearby, cottage down narrow secluded lane

Karina is a lovely semi detached cottage on a very quiet narrow country lane in Morfa Nefyn within easy strolling distance of the village centre. 3 bedrooms 2 upstairs 1 double and one with bunks top bunk only suitable for children/young teens. Also shower room. One bedroom downstairs with king size bed own TV in room with DVD player, second bathroom with bath on ground floor great for extended families/friends. Open plan living dining area with Log burner perfect for cozy evenings. TV with netflix freeview and DVDs. Good Internet connection Separate fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Large secluded garden to rear great for children to run around in with Picnic table and metal barbique, Also little tykes playhouse, the garden is a real suntrap. Views over fields to front and back. Pet free accommodation. Situated ideally within walking distance of both beaches and Nefyn's famous Golf Course. A 26 hole golf course with a view of the sea from every tee. Or just sit in clubhouse and enjoy the view open all year round. Walking distance to chip shop 5min 10 min to small foodshops one with cafe, and 15min to pub/restaurant and cafe. Nefyn 1 mile away even has its own small brewery, tours available. And a good Indian restaurant.

Because the lane is so narrow PARKING is on the lower road there is always space even in high summer, the cottage is a short stroll up the lane it is possible to drive up to unload ONLY please assess width before driving up it gets wider as you go up and you can drive out at the top end we recommend driving up from the narrow end on Lon Isaf. We have a VW passatt and have no problem but wider cars may not be able to access. There is NO parking directly outside cottage unloading only.

About JANICE HUMPHRIES and ROBERT TEMPLE

The cottage is owned by Robert Temple and Janice Humphries, we live in Altrincham Cheshire with our two daughters.. Our long search for a cottage eventually brought us to Morfa Nefyn where we fell in love with the area and the village. The cottage was in a very bad state and we took nearly two years to slowly renovate it.

JANICE HUMPHRIES and ROBERT TEMPLE purchased this cottage in 2013

Why JANICE HUMPHRIES and ROBERT TEMPLE chose Morfa Nefyn

We chose this area as we know Caernarfon area well having holidayed many times around there. Also we have friends who have been going to Nefyn for 20 years. It has beautiful beaches and scenery, secluded but in easy reach of amenities. Its a real hidden gem which is increasing in popularity year on year.

What makes this cottage unique

Minimal passing traffic mainly walkers or cyclists as lane very narrow but this adds to the away from it all feeling. But walk up whe road you can buy fresh pork, cider and apple juice from a farm shop and there is even a fish and chip shop within a few minutes. Easy stroll to cafes and pubs makes it the ideal holiday destination for families, walkers and golfers alike also perfect for a romantic getaway. The Log burner makes even winter breaks cozy.

An excellent property in a good location

  • 5 of 5

We spent one week in the property with four adults and two children. The point I would have is that it is not ideal for elderly people as the stairs are steep and the shower is on the first floor.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review Unfortunately ceiling height prohibits a shower in the downstairs bathroom. But having sleeping accommodation downstairs as well as up works well for many families.

Cozy, clean and thoughtful prepared. Lovely cottage.

  • 5 of 5

We greatly enjoyed our stay here and the cottage was perfect. The place was cozy and child friendly with everything we needed. The host obviously took the time to thoughtfully set up the place. The location was also great for some nice beaches and exploring the surrounding areas. We will come back.

This is a beautifully renovated cottage. It is immaculately clean. Set in a convenient for everything but private position and I highly recommend it. Our correspondence with Janice and Robert was excellent. We shall definitely be using it again : ) Five stars!
