We've had a wonderful stay at Le Peyrat.Tracy and Brian are welcoming, kind hosts who are really helpful without being intrusive. We would highly recommend the Saturday market at St Foy le Grande, Lac de Gurson, Etang la Jemaye (beautiful lake, wooded, great wooden play area for children and small beach. Dimitri the chef is a lovely man, speaks good English, fab food at great prices and is very flexible. He provided us with some delicious meals after a quick chat to arrange a menu. We will certainly be recommending Le Peyrat to our friends.

Beautiful, ideal for all ages and excellent hosts

'The whole family had a wonderful holiday at the very peaceful and spacious Le Peyrat.

There is plenty of interior and exterior space and the entire accommodation is well equipped for both children and adults. 5 en-suite bathrooms is great bonus. Perfect for a large family party but with little hideaways if you want a bit of quiet time.

The pool is safely gated and alarmed which is reassuring, and you can still enjoy the outdoors under shelter if it rains.

The youngest of our party is 4 and our eldest 80, and we all enjoyed our stay thoroughly in equal measures.

If you are willing to drive 45 minutes or more, Bergerac town was excellent and we absolutely loved St Emilion.

The owners live next door and were happy to inform and recommend upon request. The house was clean and ready upon our arrival and they own a selection of adorable and friendly animals.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this rental to all age groups and parties wishing to enjoy the beautiful Bergerac.'

Extremely Happy

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a fantastic time at Le Peyrat. The house and gardens were very well maintained and clean. All that was advertised was provided, and the photos are true to their word. For my kids the highlight had to be the pool, for the adults it was the house, the visit from the reccommended chef, the local towns and villages with their great wines and festivals. Tracy and Brian were always there if we had any questions or needed help organising a visit somewhere, but they were never intrusive. Le Peyrat is definately a place that we would like to visit again and I would highly reccommend a holiday at this lovely house.

Exception property - Great for the whole family.

  • 5 of 5

Recently returned from a one week stay in Le Peyrat with extended family. 8 adults and 6 small kids! We all wish we had a 2nd week. A fantastic property. Especially the gardens and pool. Tracy and Brian are great hosts. We had very nice weather all week so were outside throughout. So much for our kids to do between treehouse, trampoline, sandpit, pool, toys and games. Less minding for the grown ups! All the mod cons you need in the house and its in excellent condition throughout. Walking distance to a small village and short drive to a larger town. Its also in an ideal location to explore the region. This property has only 5 star reviews for a reason. Book with confidence.

Fantastic

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a one week stay at Le Peyrat and all of the positive comments that I read beforehand were true.

We arrived at the end of March / first week of April and whilst we did not expect to have nice weather we were pleasantly surprised. Most of the time the temperature hovered around the 20c mark and we only had one day of rain. The pool is heated so we were very happy that we had the opportunity to use it. There is also a swimming lake 5mins drive away that has a lovely sandy beach. Because we were travelling out of the high season we had the beach to ourselves which was great. We also made the most of travelling throughout the Dordogne region going to all of the various sites which were not yet overrun with tourists.

Le Peyrat is very spacious and is set in lovely quiet grounds with lots of fun activities for kids and adults alike. There are many toys, board games and various games equipment are provided (badminton rackets, footballs..etc) We made great use out of the Boule court and we were getting quite competitive at the end. My 3 year old daughter loved the treehouse and I’m now working out how I can build something similar in my own garden.
