Location. Location.Location.

First time in Portugal and definitely will not be the last. Alvor is an unspoilt village with restaurants at every corner.Cute and friendly, with 6km of boardwalks to the beaches and lagoon, where you can watch birds.

The apartment is within 100meters of the port/lagoon, and beach is an easy walk away.

The apartment is spacious, very comfortable and very clean.The heating off season is good, and the air-conditioning in summer seems really effective, even though in April temperatures were in the early 20 to mid 20s.

There is a balcony for every time of day, facing east or west and a superb roof top terrace with harbour/lagoon views

Very nice indeed, and would not hesitate to recommend to friends.

The only kitchen equipment we would recommend to the friendly owners would be a simple cafitiere as the Bosch coffee maker did not make the coffee hot enough for our taste-but that is a minor issue and very easily resolved.

Well done-the owners and the neighbour who greeted us made us feel very welcome indeed.

Excellent apartment in an ideal location

Our first trip to Alvor and we loved it. The apartment was ideally situated in the old town just minutes away from bars and restaurants. The boardwalk wasn't far and a must to have a stroll along, we did a couple of other walks straight from the apartment. There were stretches of beautiful sandy beaches.

Everything you needed was in the apartment it was comfortable and quiet and has a lovely roof terrace with loungers. An allocated parking space is available if you hire a car.

Sjef and Els were very helpful and Suzanne friendly and accommodating.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment and would definitely stay there again.

Ideal location and fantastic apartment

The apartment is so clean, bright and airy. With all the comforts of home.

It is a stones throw from all the bars and restaurants and the marina and yet it is so quiet. You don't hear any of the noise from the bars.

The Wi-fi is a real bonus. The kitchen is fully fitted out with everything you need. As there are 2 bathrooms there is no need to share.

It was lovely to sit on the roof terrace which has 4 loungers and table & chairs. There is also a fridge up there to keep your drinks cool.

There were 4 of us staying and all of us can highly recommend this apartment.

A Perfect Holiday!

We have just returned from a 10-day stay in this property in Alvor and it was just perfect - a very comfortable home-from-home with everything we needed. The location was great too, being just a 3 minute walk from the centre of the village but it was also very quiet at night. The property was very secure having coded entrance gates and coded entrance door to the apartment block (not that we felt security to be an issue in Alvor!).

The roof terrace was perfect - private and a lovely place to sit in the evenings for a meal and watch the sun go down over the sea. It was also large enough for 4 sunbeds as well as the table and chairs.

Alvor is a lovely resort, remaining quite unspoilt and it's great to see the local fishermen bringing in the day's catch for the restaurants in the village. Such a range of restaurants too - something for everyone but we indulged in fish mostly as it was just fantastic to eat it so fresh from the sea. There are steak houses, Italians, Indians and of course Portuguese restaurants.

If you enjoy nature and bird watching, the boardwalk across the nature reserve is the place to go. There are some amazing birds including flamingos and storks as well as others that I couldn't identify. From here, you can access the beautiful large sandy beach with umbrellas and beds, although we thought these were quite expensive at 22 euros for 3 beds and one umbrella for the day. With the terrace at the apartment, we didn't need to spend a great deal of time on the beach. There are a couple of beach bars too that serve great food, so well worth a try at lunchtime.

All in all, a fabulous time and we would not hesitate to book the apartment again.

Amazing!

This was our first visit to Alvor, and could not have been happier with the accommodation! We were greeted by Suzanne, who was helpful and friendly! The huge, airey apartment was clean, fresh and well equipped. I noticed that a previous review mentioned the lack of a fridge on the terrace (which had views to die for), well, this has been remedied and a fridge has been supplied! Thank you Els for allowing us to stay, we were definitely not disappointed, and look forward to staying here again!!
