This well appointed property enjoys a prime location around the private marina that lies at the heart of the beautiful village of Portopetro. It has comfortable, spacious living areas, good size bedrooms and is ideal for families looking for sun, sea and fun or for couples looking for a peaceful getaway. There are four beaches within a 2km radius with the closest only round the corner. The beauty of Portopetro is that its close enough to the hustle and bustle of Cala Egos and Cala d'Or but far enough away to ensure you enjoy a relaxing stay

Location perfect/penthouse not so perfect

This two bed top floor apartment(not really a penthouse) was in the perfect location for exploring the lovely harbour restaurants of Puerto Petro-a very pretty traditional harbour just south of the very touristy Cala d'or. The nearby beach of Cala Mondrago was stunning as was the surrounding area with rustic traditional village restaurants. We loved restaurant Raphael's(a two minute walk from the apartment. Also El Campo (a short ten minute drive into the countryside) was lovely.

The apartment however was lacking in modern facilities expected i.e. no dishwasher/limited kitchen utensils/small kitchen/quite dark. No air con -when the temp did not drop below 30 degrees - really a necessity in high Summer.Only one fan in the apartment which we kept in the children's room did provide a bit of respite from the heat! The bathrooms also in need of updating.

Limited draw storage in second bedroom meant clothes were kept in the suitcase for most of our stay. Low futon style bed in master bedroom.

Despite these issues the apartment location was stunning and we spent many lovely evenings on the terrace enjoying the jazz from the bars opposite/breakfasts watching the hustle and bustle of the harbour.

The communal pool was also lovely and very quiet despite mid school holidays-often we had it to ourselves!

We would definitely stay in this location again and if the apartment were to be updated/etc we would reconsider staying here again.

Management - Grace and Tm were very helpful and on hand for questions/queries prior to and during our stay.

Portopetro is the perfect destination for those looking for a more 'authentic' stay. Whilst its prepared for tourism, it is more low key than its 'busy' neighbour of Cala d'Or. The apartment itself is very comfortable and has the most stunning view.

Nearest Airport : Palma at 50 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Vall d'Or at 8 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Calo des Homos Morts at 300 Metres Car: recommended

Portopetro is about 2 kms away from the Natural Park of Mondrago. The beaches of Cala Mondrago and S'Amarador which lie within the boundaries of this park are within walking distance.A truly lovely place
