This sort after 1st floor 2 bedroom apartment that is situated in the plush grounds of Siesta Mar has freshly been refurbished to a high standard. A new kitchen and newly tiled bathrooms that are kept immaculate for each new guest.
The front terrace that face the mid can only be described as breathtakingly beautiful.
The location of the apartment is close to bars restaurants and shops. It still makes for a perfect holiday.
My name is Mark and I manage a number of properties in Menorca and the Balearics.
Mark Stone or Leigh Stone purchased this apartment in 2014
The apartment has all the benefits of being in walking distance to all bars restaurants shops banks and most importatantly the amazing white sandy beach.
The apartment has just undergone a reform that has brought it right up to date. It has safe very well kept communal gardens that are simply a joy to take in when they are all in bloom.
The beach has Pedelos and kayaks for hire which I can say are great fun in our crystal clear waters.
For our future guests, we can recommend this beautiful setting high enough.
It's location is amazing. It's the apartment that has one thing that all the other places can not measure up to. The beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea.
Every morning and evening you will take in that beauty and remember it everyday until you return.
Great location, good views nice and quiet. Apartment was good, apart from low water pressure in one bathroom which meant we could not use shower, bath or bidet in bathroom one. (Complained about this but was like it all week)just as we were leaving Owner messaged me that he was informed of what was probably causing it. So whether it was solved or not ? Only a shower in the ensuite, not a bath as stated in description. Also no light in the ensuite. There is a TV but it doesn't work as no sat box. When asked about it Owner said it isnt advertised as a TV but it is!! Clearly states "TV" with free surf, also a little picture of one. Owner was very accomodating when we first arrived but then no communication until the day we left despite me trying to contact him several times through the week. All in all if everything worked as it should do then it would be a lovely place to stay. Lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance.
We had a lovely weeks holiday :-) great location and brilliant apartment, we will be back!
After seeing the photos, there is no illusion about what you're going to arrive to. The views are that good, for breakfast lunch and dinner or just an evening drink and a game of cards.
To begin with the owner, Mark, responded quickly to emails when booking but nearer to arriving, not so. A slight hiccup when we did arrive, no one there to meet/greet us and hadn't anyway of getting into the apartment. The owner's mobile number wasn't connecting but fortunately, after doing reviews on where to eat, finding the highly rated Nelsons bar, by coincidence discovered that Mark was also the landlord! Contacted him there and was given code to the key safe. The apartment was clean and fresh, happily for us we'd grabbed a few provisions beforehand because no loo roll in either bathroom, maybe a basic requirement but one you can't do without!
The kitchen is good, plenty of space for the chef but missing a good range of utensils, so you may have to think outside the box if you're planning to cook a meal.
During the hottest part of the day, the apartment is a welcome retreat, the breeze flows through keeping it cool and there is an air conditioning unit when you need to close the doors at night. There is a TV but when we were there, no satellite box, so couldn't watch anyway! However, a blessing in disguise, a glass of wine, a pack of cards and a seat outside on the verandah to watch the sun go down was far better than anything on TV.
Just one other thing, there wasn't a light in the ensuite - at all, so make sure you have a shower before the sun goes down!
The apartment is on the edge of the popular Siesta Mar complex, so you're away from the pool area, making it quiet. That was great for us, easy to go to pool for a swim or relax, only a minute away (the photos show a pool from the balcony, that's next door.)
Although I've mentioned a few obstacles, all in all this is a great place to stay and it won't spoil your holiday. Menorca is a fabulous island, the people are friendly and hiring a car is great for exploring this wonderful island.
If you like watching beautiful Menorcan sunsets from a clean, spacious balcony, then this must be one of the best views in Menorca. You also have a wonderful sea view so the views are breathtaking. The apartment is clean and of a good size and is situated brilliantly, being a short walk from the exquisite Cala en Porter beach and an equally short distance from the local supermarkets, restaurants and bars. In spite of the close proximity to all the local facilities, this apartment is in a quiet and extremely peaceful street. The owner Mark Stone is a decent, honest and likeable man who is happy to help you with any queries or problems. Mark definitely provided excellent customer service and we would be happy to recommend this apartment to family and friends.
Apartment was exactly what we expected from previous reviews and pictures. Spacious, clean and all amenities that we required. Great location for beach access(168 steps) plenty of bars and restaurants within short walking distance. Worth 10min walk to the sunset bar on the cliff to watch the sunset having a drink fantastic views of resort and out to sea, would not recommend eating there. I would recommend this property to anyone, could not fault it.
Large spacious apartment with beautiful views, perfect location for a relaxing holiday. Immaculate apartment, fantastic facilities including dishwasher and washing machine ( a real plus) as was able to travel light!) Mark responds immediately to any queries couldn't be more helpful. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. Wide a varied restaurants to suit everyone's taste, we particularly liked Sa Paissa for a special evening and also liked the friendly atmosphere of The Village Pub.
Can't wait to return.
Apartment in Cala En Porter, Menorca, Balearic Islands
Envious location with stunning views of the Mediterranean sea and headland
Sleeps 4 comfortably. There is a large pool and children's pool on the complex.
The apartment is on the 1st floor with your own front door leading on to the large terrace. There is a TV with English channels. Siesta Mar 1 is a well kept complex with many of the apartments privately owned.
Just a short walk will lead you to the village where you will find shops, restaurants, bank, pharmacy and evening entertainment. But the apartment is far enough away to be peaceful and tranquil when you want to get away from it all.
The beautiful soft sandy beach is also a short walk away and is ideal for children as the sea is very calm and stays shallow for ages! There is a lifeguard on duty and a First Aid area. A couple of good bars on the beach selling tapas, drinks, ice cream etc.
There is a local bus service for a ride into the capital Mahon.
A 15 minute walk to the opposite end of the village will lead you to Cova Den Xoria for spectacular views from the caves by day, by night there is a night club with Jazz music and famous DJ's performing. A completely unique experience of night life and views of the sunset.
