This wonderful property sits in the heart of the village of Aubeterre-sur- Dronne. All of the facilities and entertainment are within walking distance which is a huge bonus for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Walk into this property and you will experience the magical features of a hidden gem. The courtyard is secretly tucked away out of view from the village street built into the rock. It towers over four floors and is nettled into the hillside. From the house there are breath taking views and from the land above you are not overlooked. Lots of room in the house for everyone with an acre of land where you can explore and even camp with yet another cave to discover. The village property is located in one of the most beautiful villages in France. There are four bedrooms on four levels. There is a kitchen with living area. There are two shower rooms with toilet and wash basin and another off the courtyard. The garage is at the front of the property.

About Loraine

We have owned the house for over twelve years and continue to make improvements.

It has been a great holiday home for us in the past which has been enjoyed by our teenage children, grandparents and friends.

Loraine purchased this house in 2005

Why Loraine chose Charente

The house has something for everyone to enjoy. Its a traditional French village house and yet unique due to it's architecture and its location built into the rock.

It has a courtyard in the back leading to a 50 m square cave. There is a great sun terrace with spectacular views and a private park which extends to the end of the street all hidden and accessible from the back of the house!

Big spacious rooms so that people can relax and enjoy a great holiday.

What makes this house unique

Location is one of the key features as you do have everything within walking distance.

It is also a unique property that delights the whole family nestled in the rock, central location and an amazing courtyard with cave.

It is totally private and yet accessible to all amenities on foot.

And it is only just a short journey to places such as Saint Emilion or Brantome for wine and spectacular scenery.

Fabulous accommodation

We stayed in aubetterre's enchanting village house while attending a wedding and could not fault it. The house itself had everything that we needed. Just a few minutes walk to the village centre, it was in a very convenient place and the views were stunning. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone and the hosts were brilliant. Thank you!

A really beautiful house in a beautiful village

We had a fantastic week celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Despite the hot weather the house stayed cool. Everything you need is on your door step and it's a really lovely relaxed place to be.

A fabulous town house in a beautiful old French town. Probably not ideal for very small children.

We had a wonderful week in this house. We were in Aubeterre for a family wedding but decided to stay for a few days either side. The owners met us as we arrived and we're very welcoming and helpful. The house was perfect for our needs, full of character and charm. Our only reservation about the house is that, because of two delightful sets of spiral staircases and several levels of rooms, it's probably not ideal for very small children or the elderly.

mooi ingerichte woning met een goed uitgeruste keuken. Slaapplaatsen zijn er voldoende aanwezig maar slaapkamers lopen wel in elkaar. Voor ons was dit geen probleem omdat we met familie op reis waren. Huis is minder geschikt voor minder mobiele personen door de vele trappen.

Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenares.

Leuk en gezellig dorpje waar s'avonds bijna altijd iets te beleven was.

Strand op 5 minuten stappen is een meerwaarde.
