A 2 Bed, newly refurbished character slate cottage. Slate tiled floors on the ground floor, with fully equipped kitchen/diner. Electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine. Cosy lounge room with multi fuel burner. Leather 5 seat corner sofa. Television with free sat and X Box. Double Bedroom with original wooden floor. The 2nd Bedroom has 2 single beds. Bathroom with over bath shower, wash basin and wc. Oil fired central heating throughout. Off road parking for one large vehicle. Directly across the lane is the large enclosed garden with large decking area with alfresco dinning, mature plants, fruit trees (which you are welcome to pick from) and shrubs. There is a summer house to the rear of the garden, where you will find the barbeque and more garden furniture.

About Tina Wigley

My husband Darren and I have 2 boys. We live in South Yorkshire, where we have both lived all our lives. We enjoy entertaining with our friends and family. Darren is a Fireman and I am an e-commerce programmer for a Sports Retail Company. Our eldest Son Jake is an electrician and our youngest son Sam is still in Academy.

Why Tina Wigley chose North Cornwall

My husband and I have holidayed in this area for the last 5 years with our 2 boys and 2 Hungarian Vizslas, we simply fell in love with the area, so when this cottage came on the market we didn't hesitate. The Whole character of the cottage appealed to us straight away. This area soon settled in our hearts, not just because of the tranquility and peacefulness of the area but also because of the friendly people that already call Newhall Green their home. We hope to retire here and spend a lot of our time in our new holiday home.

What makes this cottage unique

Whilst the cottage has had to be fully refurbished, we managed to keep the character and capture its original glory. The views from the garden are undisturbed, right up to the woods. The garden itself is very well established and boasts mature shrubs and plants.

Coopers Cottage is nestled in a very quiet hamlet but is only a stones throw from all the popular tourist attractions. An ideal base.

Total Relax

The holiday started when we opened the door and the table was set with tea and home made brownie to great us. The cottage is spotless clean and has everything you need its a home from home.We were lucky with the weather and took full advantage of the garden with all the facilities available to use (sun loungers and barbecue).The cottage is idealy located for walks in all directions especially up the road to the local pub The White Heart where we had a lovely meal then its a steady walk back to try and walk of that sweet you would normally not have.The whole area has that feel of going back in time. We will return as soon as is practical as we already wish we were still there.Too many things to list as to what you can do in the area but if you are lucky with the weather as we were you would not need to venture too far any way, having said we were lucky with the weather the locals told us it is always sunny and only rains at night anyway and only once or twice a week just to keep the grass green i can only believe this to be true as this this is my third visit my last was at new year and the sun shone every day then. Comfortable pet friendly cottage for small family

Clean, well maintained property with everything required for a relaxing holiday. Super location - peaceful, but within easy travelling distance to many lovely coastal and rural areas. Would recommend most highly. The owner, Tina, was very helpful and didn't mind me quizzing her on dog friendly places to go and for directions. Tracy who lives next door and manages the property very welcoming. Visited Port Isaac and Boscastle, both very pretty and very impressed with Pencarrow, where dogs allowed on leads in formal gardens but can come off leads for a run on wider estate. Also highly recommend the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Wheal Martin and Trebah, plus of course the numerous beaches of beautiful Cornwall. Would be very happy to stay here again.

Perfect Cottage

We spent a week at coopers cottage with our two springer spaniels. The setting and location is absolutely perfect. The cottage has everything you need for your holiday and there is plenty to see and do all within a short car ride. On arrival we were greeted by the neighbours who gave a quick run down of the area and provided us with cake which was such a nice touch. The cottage is so homely we didn't want to leave. Thank you Tina for a lovely stay, we hope to return next year.

A little gem!

We recently stayed at Coopers cottage for our honeymoon and we couldn't have been more impressed! The cottage is cosy, well kept and has a great range of facilities. It is close to gorgeous beaches and theres lots to do (Tintagel Castle was a favourite of ours)

After arriving at our original honeymoon destination and being less than satisfied with it, we found ourselves seeking emergency accommodation at 8pm, over a weekend, with 2 small dogs during busy seasons. It felt impossible, but Tina was absolutely lovely and along with Tracy, they went above and beyond to make sure we had somewhere to stay. We were welcomed with open arms despite the fact that we arrived at 9:30pm after a long drive, and I have no doubt that this courtesy would be extended to all guests at Coopers cottage.

We stayed with our 2 small dogs and the cottage was ideal for those who may also be staying with pets, the enclosed garden is perfect.

The local pub and sandwich shop are dog friendly too which was a pleasant surprise. If you're used to city life though, do be aware that shops tend to close a little earlier than you may be used to, so do check opening times and food service times wherever possible if you plan to eat out locally. We enjoyed a fish and chip dinner from Smugglers fish and chips one evening and would definitely recommend.

Overall we were very impressed with our stay, especially for the price. It's head and shoulders above it's competitors in the same price band. We look forward to returning again in future!
