Set by the beautiful seaside town of Hornsea, this spacious 18th century semi-detached farmhouse retains many original features including oak paneled walls, original stripped floors, and lovely open fires. As well as the large lawned garden, there is shared use of a 5 acres field in front of the house. The peaceful rural environment provides a tranquil and relaxing setting for your holiday breaks.

Large original sash windows look out towards Hornsea Mere, the biggest fresh water mere in Yorkshire, popular with bird watchers, sailing enthusiasts and walkers. Close to many of the East Yorkshire most popular attractions, including historical town Beverley; coastal town Bridlington where you will find the famous RSPB Bempton cliffs home for 200,000 seabirds and Flamborough Headland; Grade I listed Georgian country house Sewerby Hall and many more. Brockholme Farmhouse provides the perfect location for your seaside fun-packed family holidays, short-breaks, special occasions and corporate retreats. Variety of shops, pubs and restaurants all around 1 mile of the house.

If you are a golf enthusiasts, Hornsea gold club and Skipsea golf club both just a short drive away.

The house is tastefully decorated and aim to provide comfort self-catering accommodation. With four large bedrooms it can sleep up to 10 people (cot bed also available and well behaved dogs are welcome).

Such a beautiful spot. Fantastic views from every window. Gorgeous big gardens for the kids to run around. Comfy living rooms, snuggly blankets and friendly owners. More wine glasses pls! other than that, a fantastic holiday was had by all.

Absolutely perfect family break, great location and plenty of space!

We booked a break back in December 2015, with a view of having a family get together. Up to the day of arrival communication from Scott was fantastic very helpful and friendly. On arrival we were met with a freshly lit log fire, and a very friendly welcome. The house is beautiful and extremely homely, we have 2 small dogs who were also made very welcome. Highly recommend a stay here, just perfect.

Excellent property

The whole family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brockholme Farm for a nearby family wedding - particularly the birdwatchers.The house was perfect for our needs, clean and well equiped. Scott was very welcoming and extremely helpful over a delivery of a gift for one of the party. We wholeheartedly recommend a stay there.

Special family celebration

Eight of us stayed at Brockholme to celebrate my retirement. It is an ideal farmhouse to accommodate large families requiring a mix of room sizes. We were all impressed with the size and comfort of the rooms. The two lounges allowed us to relax without being under each others feet. The log fire in the main lounge was welcome in the unseasonally cool evenings. The large kitchen/diner made breakfast and evening meals easy. There was an extensive range of utensils and crockery available whether you needed a quick snack or a full meal. There was a huge supply of extra towels and bed linen if required. During sunny days we played ball games on the lawn in front of the house.

About a mile along the road is a fabulous village pub, the Swan Inn at Seaton. We dined there 3 times and were pleased as punch at the quality and value for money.

The owner and his family could not have been more helpful and lived on the extensive farm site and were easily available if needed.

I have no hesitation in recommending Brockholme farmhouse to anyone needing to accommodate a large family

lovely house in lovely setting

we stayed the house as a family of 6 adults and three children. the house is very spacious and set in a beautiful location with views over Hornsea Mere. the beds are extremely comfortable and all the rooms are very spacious. lovely walk into Hornsea (approx. 2 miles away) and well worth a visit to The Swan (5 mins up the road towards Seaton), food was absolutely gorgeous and the staff really nice and friendly. the owner of the house Scott was very friendly and is on hand if there is a problem. He checked the property the morning we were leaving and returned our deposit there and then. I had left some items behind and Scott kindly posted them back to me at home free of charge. Would definitely return and can recommend it for a lovely relaxing break.

Amazing properly and very welcoming owners. Lots to do. Great place for a family get together.

We had a lovely long weekend celebrating 40th birthday. Scott, the owner, allowed for Sainsburys to deliver our food so no hassle or stuffing cars with groceries. Kids enjoyed having their own bedroom and adults enjoyed the cozy bur spacious living room. Will be booking again.

Delightful

My family of 8 adults and 3 children had a most wonderful stay at the farmhouse. It was wonderfully warm and cosy especially with a fire roaring in the hearth. The children had so much space we lost them on occasion. The beds were delightfully comfy and linen all beautifully crisp and clean. The gardens lovely to play in and for the dogs to run although not completely enclosed - keep an eye out.

The Farmhouse is spacious, has 4 large size bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large country kitchen that's kept warm by the Rayburn cooker, 2 large size reception rooms that overlook 5 acres of field and the Hornsea mere. Popular seaside town Hornsea just over 1 mile away where you can find various pubs, restaurants and supermarkets; This house is pet friendly, we allow up to 2 dogs (maybe more if agreed beforehand) with each booking.

The Farmhouse is overlooking the largest fresh water lake in Yorkshire - Hornsea mere, where you can go finishing, walking or sailing.

Honey suckle farm is about 4 mins drive away (or 15 mins walk away) from the house, where you would have a great family day out - they have a brand new cafe on site with homemade ice cream. Your children can learn about various farm animals.

Historical town Beverley is about 15 mins drive away, and city of Hull is about 25 mins drive away, where you will find various restaurants, shopping centers, and the biggest aquariums in the UK (The Deep, Hull).

Popular seaside town Bridlington is about 30 mins drive away from the Farmhouse, It offers easy access to coastal walking around Flamborough Head and for visits to Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve. Flamborough Headland, with its dramatic chalk cliffs reaching up to 130 metres at Bempton, is one of England’s treasured designated heritage coasts.
