A wonderful short break

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful weekend away at this property. The hosts were welcoming, the house is very spacious and full of character.

It's so close to Hornsea Mere and to walk into Hornsea only takes about 20 minutes. My children had a wonderful time searching the beach for fossils.

I would definitely recommend a stay here to anyone!

Lovely house in a lovely location

  • 5 of 5

We had a party of 8 (4 couples) for a birthday weekend and found the house to be just right for our weekend. The accommodation was very nice and spacious (though there was a bit of a queue for the main bathroom in the mornings!). The highlight was the always on Aga-like range oven in the kitchen ... toasty warm. The owners made us feel very welcome without being intrusive. The location, overlooking fields and the mere, was just what we wanted. The local pub, The Swan, served very nice food and good beer.

Rural perfection.

  • 5 of 5

The house and the grounds were everything we had hoped for, and more besides. Professionally prepared, Scott and Wae Wae were marvellous hosts, and made us feel valued and welcomed us to their home. Will definitely stay here again. The local pub was excellent, and the visits to Hull and Hornsea were enjoyable and easy to reach.

Absolutely perfect family break, great location and plenty of space!

  • 5 of 5

We booked a break back in December 2015, with a view of having a family get together. Up to the day of arrival communication from Scott was fantastic very helpful and friendly. On arrival we were met with a freshly lit log fire, and a very friendly welcome. The house is beautiful and extremely homely, we have 2 small dogs who were also made very welcome. Highly recommend a stay here, just perfect.
