Tyddyn Mawr Cottage offers delightful holiday accommodation in the Welsh countryside. The Cottage is surrounded by wonderful gardens with many beautiful flowers and shrubs, little walkways and plenty of wildlife; guests at the Cottage also enjoy access to a private lake for fishing and picnics. Inside, the unique design of this cottage is perfectly described by the owners as ‘Louis'; a French style which is at once elaborate and cosy. The owners have put as much effort into creating these glorious surroundings as they do into ensuring guests feel welcome when they arrive and refreshed when the leave. This really is a gorgeous cottage, where the interior styling and comfort is matched by breathtaking surroundings.
Venture out and you'll find the surrounding Snowdonian landscapes offer a huge range of outdoor activities and attractions. The busy coastal towns of Porthmadog and Criccieth are close by, Pwllheli and Abersoch a little further along the coast, inland the charming village of Beddgelert, and to the south you'll find Harlech with its imposing hilltop castle.

Fantastic accommodation, great location and friendly owners - all boxes ticked!
We brought our 3 month old German Shorthaired Pointer with us for the week and had a great time. It is a perfect base for exploring Snowdonia. The property is equipped with everything you could need and more! The bedrooms are in the eves but are very cleverly designed. My partner is 6ft and had no issues with head room. There is ample parking and beautiful grounds. The Goat Inn, (local pub a couple of minutes drive away) is an absolute must. Food is incredible, staff very attentive and pub always busy. We loved this property and will be recommending it to our friends!!
Tyddyn Mawr cottage was a beautiful, well appointed cottage. It was clean and comfortable with all the home comforts. Wifi was excellent. A perfect location for visiting the stunning area surrounding it and we had a fantastic week here, helped by lovely weather. The hosts were very helpful & friendly too.
Beautifully appointed cottage, tastefully decorated with a good use of space. The owners have thought about most things and it is great to see that they are continually investing. The downstairs if open plan, with the upstairs divided off one bedroom to the left of the stair case and one to the right. Both have ensuite bathrooms with showers over the baths. Everything upstairs is in the eves of the house, so if you were really tall you would need to bend down, especially in the bathrooms. The beds are also under the eves, but it all actually works really well. We took our dog. The front courtyard is enclosed well for a small dog, and if the weather had been warmer it would be a lovely place to sit. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained.
The house is only 10 minutes from Porthmadoc, so great if you want to use the railways there. We will definitely be going back.
Super house, has every comfort. Warm and friendly owners. Great for dogs. Lake is peacefully beautiful. Very reasonable rates. Couldn't recommend more.
Had a fantastic 4 days in the Garden Cottage, peaceful and quiet in a totally relaxing environment. The cottage was immaculately clean and home from home. The surrounding gardens and lake were beautiful. The owners were very polite and lived in the cottage next door but they were never intrusive and respected your privacy. We would love to return again next year.
