Period two/three bedroom cottage with enclosed garden in quiet street

Lavender Cottage is a beautifully presented two/three bedroom cottage in Stratton which is within approximately 15 minutes walking distance of the historic market town of Cirencester. The cottage comprises a light and airy sitting room with working wood burner, open plan kitchen dining area, two well proportioned bedrooms on the first floor both with double beds in (please note 2nd room is accessed from the 1st room), and a modern and well fitted shower room. There is a further bedroom with double bed on the second floor. Externally, the garden offers privacy and a south facing orientation, along with off street parking for two vehicles.

Exceeded every expectation!

We just returned from the cottage that exceeded every expectation, from spotlessly clean, fresh crisp linens, perfect location for sight seeing, walking to pubs, shops, beautiful town center . We could not have been more pleased. Prettier than even pictures captured! Our hosts were kind and gracious ,adding to our wonderful experience ! This property gets our highest recommendation !

Superb, we spent 8 days at this wonderful traditional stone cottage with a quintessential English garden with a bonus of private parking. Spacious, with everything you need, spotlessly clean, beds to sink into with amazing linens, walkable to town but peaceful and serene. You can relax into this cottage as a "home" which is so appreciated. The hosts were gracious, helpful and very welcoming. Grab this one if it’s available. And, writing as picky North Americans, a great shower with tons of hot water and soft towels - lovely. Thanks so much Sue.

Pretty Victorian cottage in a perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds.....

We just spent a wonderful week in this pretty cottage, it is as lovely as the photos and has everything you need....and the weather was perfect!

Cirencester is only ten min walk away, where there's alot of restaurants, pubs, museum and even an open air swimming pool.(which we spent a whole day relaxing whilst the kids practiced their diving)

It's also a great location to explore all the beautiful Cotswold villages...Bibury is 16mins drive, Stow-on-the-wold is 30 mins drive, Bouton-on-the-water is 24mins drive, Painswick is 34mins drive etc. You can get maps on the 'Jubilee Walks' (aprox 4mile walks) around these villages from the tourist information centre in Cirencester (which we did, and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area and countryside around these villages)

A very comfortable cottage in a great location

This is a pretty, comfortable and well equipped cottage. The location is great for exploring the local area. Cirencester is an interesting town with good shops.

The owners of the cottage made us feel very welcome and were there if any help was needed.

There are daily markets in the Cornhall (Fashion/crafts and antiques)as well as weekly outdoor markets and a Saturday local farmers market selling local produce. Cirencester park is 15 minutes walk from house and the Abbey grounds with childrens play area at the rear of the parish church in the centre of town
